Global/General Sniper Rifle Discussion

You know what's funny? The two GameStops I normally go to don't have a single copy of MoH.

And one thing of sniping we should know by now, change your position every now and then, don't want people getting smart about where you are.

Usually for me if I wait in one place for too long the moment I leave that place I get killed... one of the reasons why I don't camp.

Suddenly I have the urge to play some red faction... the one with the nano gun... that game is free roam and you can run around sniping and the enemies always spawn back

In BC2 eventually someone will get smart and find your hiding spot, unfortunately for other snipers, I already know all the hiding spots on the maps.

And I abbreviatted Medal of Honor to MoH.

I played the demos to Red Faction, but no snipers in it, the demo.

No copies because....idk...when I'm looking around, I don't see any copies.

I played Guerilla Faction, the first one on consoles.

Oh too bad that you only played the demo. Thats the one I played and the sniping isn't half bad... though I think the game is third person =/

Oh god. Medal of Honor. Worst purchase I've made in a long while. Multiplayer is just unbearable with broken spawn mechanics and just odd gun balance. Sniper rifles are literally a one-hit kill to any part of the body. It is stupid to not snipe in that game. You can shoot them in the big toe and they will die. -_-

So played Gears of War 3... fucking shit is so damn hard to snipe in campaign... i just used the hammerbust instead

Sniping on Space Marine's multiplayer is a tad too easy.

Stalker patter bolter would take about 8 shots to kill
>4 to strip the armor and cause a little damage to health
>4 more to ensure the kill.

With the Lascannon, it's better to just aim for the head if you can. If not, then about 2 shots will strip away the armor and another 1-2 shots to the body to kill.

I heard that the Beta for BC3 came out today... anyone here play it?

tried to play some Black Ops today... wtf I couldn't even play a good game.. it took forever to join the game and the games I were in were crap... What also sucked is that my first game of the day.. I like always was sniping.. and these two assholes kept talking smack just because I got nice kills off them. Fucking dumbasses kept calling me gay/faggot and a kid =/ why do all immature cod players do that?

Simple really. Majority of players online suck a lot and they call cheat when someone with good skills actually play. Heck, I get called that a lot and they question why I have such a low rank too. The reasony why is because I don't play a lot of BLOPs or MW2 these days so hence the low rank.

But it's funny sniping the guys out of helis in BF3 beta though :D

my sniping is so-so in cod games.... i can get pretty nice kills... not the really fancy kind but just nice... but i cant stay alive for shit because i get mobbed all the time...

just got finish playing 30 minutes of GoW3... and wow its a lot easier to snipe in there then in the campaign.. the game is pretty much the same.. same amount of shots to kill... it's just that in campaign... skirmishes stay in small area where sniping makes no sense

I used to do that a lot when I was low level, just hide somewhere far away and snipe people, but then I learned it doesn't help the team much when you're camping like 2 miles away from the objective picking off like 1 guy every few minutes.

But seriously. Game looks pretty good at a first glance, or from a distance, but just like in Bad Company 2, it has ridiculously pixelated textures and shadow affects when you exam stuff up close.

Beta was fun imo.

Sniping was pretty easy, just hold the left sick to hold your breath.
