Graphics Optimization (PC gaming)
0
When playing high-end graphic intensive game do you usually optimize graphics or let the computer decide for you?
This thread is all about PC gaming and graphics, graphics junkies are all welcome
Post about your:
AMD x4 635 II 2.9ghz Overclocked to 3.2ghz stable
Nvidia GT 220 1gb Overclocked +880gpu and +399mhz (memory clock)
4gb Ram
Generic motherboard (don't know the brand name, some foreign russian company)
Rig is low-medium which I cranked up to mid-high after days of overclocking and stress testing, it's a decent one under my budget but planning to get a more expensive setup after finishing college.
Recently played The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition, and may I say it was a bitch to optimize. Ambient occlusion had to be manually turned off (wasn't in the game settings), had to uninstall Nvidia 3d vision which caused strong lag.

Intel Core i7 950 bloomfield 3.07GHz
AMD Radeon HD 6870 1GB
8GB of RAM
ASUS Rampage III Formula
Plays just about everything on high, I play Battlefield 3 on medium however, as it requires so much D;;
The computer itself wasn't really built strongly for video games, but does do the trick.

CPU: Phenom 2 X4 B55 @ 3.8 Ghz
GPU: GTX 460
RAM: 2 x 2GB DDR3 @ 1600
Mobo: M4A87TD/USB3
I play just about everything fine at Medium or High settings at my resolution. The most graphically intensive game I played with mods is still probably Crysis (though some Skyrim mods almost make me lag as hard), but without mods It's a really tough choice and I just don't know, probably Metro 2033.
On another note, anyone know if the i5 3570k is nice? I got my eyes on that chip and a 660 or even a 670 when they come out, since I'm itching for an upgrade soon.
