What games have you played that was given a bad review, or your friends say that they hated it, but you loved it!?
For me, it would be Two Worlds 2, I think it's a great RPG, and can definitely be a even better game if TW3 comes out!

No More Heroes got a 5/10 on Game Informer, yet I pretty thoroughly enjoyed it. Got into it on a friend's recommendation.

Wanted: Weapons of Fate. Game may be the shortest and easiest (on the hardest difficulty at that) video game that I've ever beaten, but I'll be damned if don't feel like an absolute badass while playing it.

Anyway, for me it'd have to be Duke Nukem Forever, berated by pretty much every single outlet on the planet, and yet I enjoyed it so much I bought it for PC and Xbox, and bought all the DLC for it. I did so love that game. ...then Serious Sam 3 came out. Now there isn't a place for Duke.

Final Fantasy 8 and Chrono Cross.
I loved these games , especially chrono cross. Everyone hated it because of its supposed deviations from the CT story but honestly the connections are there you just have to actually read dialogue and dig alittle to get to it. The battle system was pretty awesome too and the graphics were insanely good for the time.

for me i guess it would be Little Big Planet 1 and 2 its gotten great reviews but you never hear anybody over the age of 18 saying they love these games or even talking about them so i feel like a kid everytime i break it out to play.

Although it got really harsh reviews by IGN when it came out, it seemed that aside from myself, everyone loved God Hand.

FF 13...now that needs no introductions, may even get me some hate for liking it but still I enjoyed playing it and completing it.

The Grey Knight :y
I understand FF13 being mentioned here, but I won't really call it a guilty pleasure of mine. I enjoyed every moment of it, and I'm proud of it.
You... didn't like God Hand? :|
OT: Dragon Age 2, perhaps? I mean, I get why it's not that good, and I may be called a little weird for liking it, but I still enjoyed what little I played of the game.

FF7 Dirge of Cerberus, it got terrible reviews but I loved it.Same here man. I played it before reading any reviews and then realized that it got a pretty bad reception.

Quite the opposite, I LOVED God Hand, especially because of the music and the cheesy plot! I was just saying how little recognition it got from the public when it came out that may have caused it getting low reviews.

I play "The iDOLM@STER 2" way too much... :PI got back into this recently. Only have a very limited understanding Japanese, but I love the music.
Back on topic, though... I really enjoyed Kane and Lynch. Both of 'em. Both got below average reviews for reasons that are odd to me. The multiplayer was great, too; you never knew what kind of team you'd be playing with, and, more importantly, when they chose to betray you.
