I don't know about all of you but I'm a huge fan of the .hack series. I like the first four and I really liked G.U. despite the somewhat angst plot and whatnot. Now, apparently the next game LINK will be the last and final game of .hack.
A PSP game? That's how this series is going to end? Are you shitting me?
Anyways what do you all think? Will this really be the last game? Or are they going to go back on their word? Or are they just fucking with us and will be making a different kind of .hack game, so it's last and final one of it's kind sort of thing?

What's the deal with Aura in this one? Does it at least explain why she just up and disappeared in the G.U. series, or do I have to go and read some manga or something to fully understand.

I loved the animated series but I couldn't really tolerate the games. That is to say I never made any progress. I don't think I've ever beaten one of them or progressed significantly in the story. I wish they'd make a current generation game. As for the books I think they're all awful. I gave a couple a try but they were just unreadable (exageration).
