As you all may or may not know. There is a high possiblility of a halo 2 remake in hd. :D I for one welcome this idea, and would pay for a copy only as long as it is like 30 bucks. I hear it could happen after halo 4 launches.

Halo 2 has the best campaign I have ever played in all the Halo series, This remake is such great news!

I would love to see alot of features from halo ce anniversry edition. like the ability to switch graphics on teh dot in game, and the use of in-game bugs and glitches. As well as skull hunts and terminal findings. Would love to see the achievos to be easy as pie to obtain, and fun to do. :D

Surely there was a HD release of Halo 2.
It was called Halo 2 for Windows Vista. And it was... okay. Well, it wasn't HD in the sense of a remake, but it did run at full resolution, so there you go. There is an HD release of Halo 2. With achievements, too. I actually don't know if an HD rebuild would even benefit Halo 2 that much. It's a pretty fine looking game. It's not like Halo, which was an Xbox launch title and looks kind of like Half-Life nowadays. Halo 2 still has chops.
Why is everyone saying it had the best Halo campaign, though? I tried playing it but I thought it was a slog. Halo 3 was much better-paced, at least in terms of progression. And then Reach was better still. Am I the only one who actually thinks this series has improved with time...? Except for ODST, obviously.

Oh god, dual wield Needlers. That's just god mode. I'd love to get my hands on this. Although I hate the last level where you fight the flood in High Charity. That was a fucking nightmare for me.
