Has anyone played James Cameron's Avatar?

The game is almost good I thought, except for the control scheme pissing me off to no end. Also the camera is too damn close to your character and the angle you see isn't really that great.
I do like the abilities the characters have along with the weapons available. The humans have so good stuff and the Na'vi didn't disappoint in how they played alongside the humans. I still hated the controls though, R3 nearly killed me multiple times with that flip view thing.

Played a little more today. It's not nearly as hard as I thought to be a human anymore. I cut down on all unnecessary movements and now I'm slaughtering plants, animals, and Na'vi with ease. My family is complaining that I chose the human side and are telling me I should have chose the Na'vi side cause the game is called Avatar and I should play as an Avatar. I continued to say they how illogical their statements were and they refuted that I should have joined their side because that is the good guy choice. I told them that there is no good or bad in this game. You either choose to put your species first or those of the natives. Besides...the humans have all the guns. I love nail guns and grenade launchers. The only weapon I don't like thus far is the shotgun; although it is funny that everything I shoot with it flies into the air.

usualy games that are made after movies dont have too much succes...avatar is a good game but for its HUGE size(22 gb) i whold expect a lot more...gameplay isnt a that interesting...your human you lvl up by killing plants(hate grinding) and th reason you do this is because the only way to 1shot-kill a na'vi is with the grenade launcer and you only have about 20 grenades at the last upgrade...it is a great looking game but for 8 hours of gameplay i dont recomend it for hardcore gamers who want a challange

I've been meaning to try the Avatar game, mostly because I've heard some nice things about it and it looks quite nice. And because I've got no clue what to play next... Need to find a good game.
But can someone name some good and bad things about the game? So far there has been grinding, that it's easy and that the controls and camera-angles are a little messed up.(Damn, suddenly it sounds like an awful game)
Anything else? Good points?

The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly of James Cameron's Avatar (PS3).
The Good:
It has a nice variety of weapons and you get upgraded versions as you obtain more experience. The same can be said of the abilities as they seem to either have a wider effect/last longer as you level up or they recharge quicker. The cast for the game isn't that big so they don't have long convoluted introductions and conversations.
You'll be thrust into the action pretty soon after you meet your main cast at Hell's Gate. The first area is easy, but don't think you can walk straight at enemies and not expect to die. Most creatures on Pandora need to get up close to do damage so you'll be balancing shooting them and keeping them at bay. You'll be surrounded if your not careful, but their are skills to compensate for the fact you are being sent into the shit by yourself.
The Bad:
That being said, you will only really need a few abilities to survive the game. You will need a heal, an AoE stun, and a stealth. I pretty much cycled out all the other abilities for the fourth spot since I didn't really need anything else. Your weapons will quickly overpower everything in the game as well since you'll be able to waste all the local flora and fauna with ease after your weapons get to level three. Na'vi present some of a challenge since when you get to the later levels they start throwing waves of them at you and every once in a while you'll fight a supe'd up one.
The Ugly:
The tutorial is brief and instructions for vehicles is in your menu hud. The worst thing in this game for me was the campaign like mini game where through finishing missions you get money which is used for this mini game. By obtaining territories you get bonuses in the game that allow you to be a more fearsome force. An example is you'll do more damage, have a higher critical rate with your weapons, better defense, and more xp. These were all things I didn't need since I pretty much grinded through the levels on foot most of the time cloaked until I positioned myself behind a group from higher ground and wasted them. The mini game is also boring and I was disinterested very quickly.
Overall, I wouldn't buy it. I didn't after all since my mother was in love with the movie and decided to buy the game. I don't know why she bought it, but now she won't play it since all it seems to be about is killing stuff. The movie was too if you think about it, but she didn't see my logic. I guess she could have read the box, but she doesn't think sometimes. Well it helps me to kill time since I'm bored with beating Mass Effect for the third time.
I still haven't played multi-player or the Na'vi path so I can't give my opinion on those.

I dld it, I played it, I concluded: I did not like it. Repetitive, boring and confusing, with very little relation to how the world is shown in the movie. I'm not saying that it has to be Like the movie, but I'm mainly wondering one thing; where did those tentacles/nerve shits go? I mean, the main thing about the Na'vi is how the freakin attach themselves to stuff, everything being so epic and elvish like. This is just "you got a bunch of weapons, now go out grind", there is no story what so ever.
I did like the fact that you can walk on most areas in the game, running around on gigantic roots spanning hundreds of feet over the ground etc is pretty sweet, but it is easy to see that this is a game that was quickly and sluggishly put together with the hope that it could ride on the success of the movie.

I only played it because a buddy owned it, but I was pleasently suprised.
It was just an average game overall, but in comparison to other movie games, it was amazing! I make it a rule to avoid movie games, (Although The godfather wasnt bad, imo.) but Im actually glad that I played this one :)
My issue is that after about 1 hour, the game starts to get ridiculously easy. Im serious, it gets easy to the point of not being fun anymore with upgraded weapons...

Got a little further and I have become bored out of my mind. The grinding only gets worse since the only way the game can compinsate with your greatness is to throw hundreds of the same enemies at you and clones of the old bosses...I have decided to put this game down forever and return to Dragon Age: Origins so I can play the new expansion I have been waiting for.

I agree to this, it's both boring and repetitive.. though I do need to mention, that the graphics aren't the best thing about it either.

I dun like the graphic either, I think at least the character design is pretty awful, but I still like how you can run around on almost everything on the map.
