You aren't selling it are you? That would be the only reason that would break this rule. Look at katawa shoujo for example. You should be fine.

If I can learn enough of Darkbasic Pro I will probably make one. Just working on a story for it though. I could probably use my Sims 3 game to create backgrounds (and hopefully I don't get in trouble for it).
The one idea I've been toying with storywise is where the player isn't looking to establish a relationship with the girls/guys (you choose if you want to be a guy or girl), but rather to help set up couples with his rather large circle of friends and help them get together. It could go into the "H" zone though... you might have to spy on them to see how far they've gone, or they might ask you to watch them doing the dirty deed. :)
Now if I can only get past my one obstacle... every time I try to do something interesting I end up falling asleep. O_O

I'm currently doing that with my friends right now. Unfortunately, we've barely made any progress because we've been scrapping most of our ideas and revising our story idea.

Me and a few friends are working on a small project for the summer. We've established who is gunna draw and write but we still need to find an engine to run it and we need to get our hands on a composer.The engine has been decided, we're using ren'py. we're moving along the planning phase pretty smoothly, we've got the theme and setting down and we started character design.

Well, I'm soloing a VN using a engine called Novelty, seems easier than Renpy IMO. Problem is, I suck at drawing. This will be fun.

I work on a few for fun from time to time. I don't really have anything out though, most of what I make is for friends and colleagues. I am working on a bigger project though, using free resources, that will be released just for fun. But that is a ways off.

I'd love to make a VN, but programming's not really my thing. I can write the story and scenarios out, I can draw the characters & places, but when it comes down to setting it all up I'm like AHHHHHH fuck it. That's what happened to my last project.

there's a program called Visual Novelty and you don't need to program at all... you can but there is still no need to use it =)
