What is a game you are exited for that is coming out soon?...
Okay... what If the story was leaked 7 days before the game released?
In other words, Do you like experiencing the story in-game, Or would you rather read it online before the game released?.

I would like to experience the story of course. I mostly play games for their story, if one is present. I really hate spoilers, I tend to avoid them like a plague. Knowing the story beforehand is like killing the mood that the original director of the game wanted to present to the player. My motivation of playing a game greatly decreases after getting it spoiled.
Edit: Seeing the options, the one I chose was the last one. If I don't care about a game or I know I'm not going to play it ever, I don't mind spoilers. Otherwise, I hate them with a passion.

If it's a game that I REALLY care about, I'll try my best to avoid spoilers.
But it's a game that I'm kind of interested in, I don't like spoiling it.
Thats how I fould Red Steel 2, And its now my favorite game!.
In other words, It has to be my "Top priority game" for me not to spoil it.

If it's an Eastern game, I generally choose to avoid spoilers. If it's Western, then I generally don't care if it's spoiled or not.

personally if you look up the game there is always a chance of spoiling yourself, if I really want keep my head pure, I'd just not look up anything about the game the best I could

Meh, I'm not really sure how to answer this. I usually do a good job of avoiding story related spoilers but I will follow news on games that I'm interested in. For example, I knew about Disgaea 4's map editor and some of the new classes before it came out. That's not really a story spoiler though. Most game sites won't leak big story spoilers on games that haven't been released yet. Although if I did run into a huge spoiler then yeah, I'd be pissed.
Also, it depends what kind of game it is. I didn't really care too much for Skyrims story but I'd be mad if somebody spoiled Xenoblade before I played it (luckily nobody did).
TL;DR - I'd rather experience the actually story in-game. Though I don't mind being informed on the game beforehand (like the basic story setup, character info, etc).

If it's a new IP then it helps to know all the info spoiler or not
if one is purchasing the game in question

"Mario Bros. news: Princess is in another castle" and spoil accidently, I've done that once or twice with anime's.

if it's new info being leak like say more gameplay on a new map i love it. but if it's of the story I'm not a fan cuzz if it's the story someone can tell you the ending to it. i have like five game's kill for me cuzz someone going oh you die at the end of the game and etc.

I read the ending of something online and when I watched it myself, it didn't feel as amazing as it should have been. From that day on, I swore off spoilers of any kind.

Well most of my day is made up of keeping up with video game news but if you watched how Gearbox handled Borderlands 2's release I think they went overboard with a game that really doesn't have very many features besides killing, leveling up, getting more guns. I was honestly disappointed. However a game like GTA 5 will have a ton of things to do therefore they can afford to.

Spoilers actually drains all the fun and surprises for a video game that is about to be released. I don't mind small spoilers as long as it will not affect the plot too much.

It depends on the game. Just today a friend of mine showed me a youtube video of the third(?) mission for Halo 4. My first reaction was "Aww man...I don't want to know what happens until I play it." Now, if it were Touhou 14 I wouldn't really care. It depends how deep the storyline of the game goes and how large it's universe is.

I'm mostly hype about underrated games so that doesn't happen to me as much, though I will say that disgeae 3 was ruined for me before I got to the end, I was salty, so very salty...
