I got lost after Pokémon gold...

I dont always read stuff about pokemon but when I do im really disappointed or really excited

So instead of a single third edition, like Blue, Crystal, Emerald and Platinum, we're getting two separate update versions, one for each game.

don't panic

from what I read, those are just different formes of Kyurem (comparable to Deoxys, Shaymin, Giratina, etc.) and not fusions or something. gameplay wise, there will be no new pokemon (except for the new formes), just more story content.

the only surprising thing is the fact that Game Freak strayed from the usual formula of 2 main versions + 1 special version per generation.
