I want to design my controller
0
So I have an Xbox 360 White Wireless Controller and I want to spray paint it. Now I know that I have to disassemble it to not ruin the internal components of the inside. However, If I spray paint it, will the paint rub off on my hand and become a mess? If so, is there any way to avoid this?

After it dries or when you're spraying? After spraying the controller. Also, would it start to peel off after extensive use?

Put a clear coat finish on it, then you should be good to go.
Make sure you get paint made for plastic too.

Would you be as so kind as to send me the links to ones that are reliable? I'm not that experienced with spray paint, but I do have one that does work on metal, would that work for plastic?

It might...I'm not sure if it'll tell you on the can somewhere.

You can always use a little sandpaper to roughen it a bit, so the paint will stick better.
After a few coats of color, use a coat or two of clear coat to make it nice.
Don't rush it or it'll look like shit.
Theres a ton of youtube vids explaining this, or at least similar methods with different materials/objects.

Since you're going to disassemble the controller and void the warranty anyway, you could just buy a new faceplate for your controller. There's no messy paint involved and, who knows, you might even find a design that you like.

Me and a friend custom painted ours, but he never put a coat of clear on, so his ended up fading away after awhile.
