This might sound lame but meh... If I make my own I would try to make the storyline perfect. The gaming times would be on the dragon ages. hmmm.... the character would be able to use swords and magic... hmmm the maps would be very large and you would be able to freely roam. what will you be fighting are dragons and monsters. hmmm..... you could do business in order to gather money. have a family... good graphics... ummm oh yes. for more space in the game there will be no online. or at least keep the online simple.

I'd like to create something akin to Ico. A puzzle adventure game of some sort, heavy on atmosphere and minimalism.
In addition, I would love to create beautiful shmups like Ikaruga, one of my favorite games ever. Vertical scrolling shmups preferably, with unique gameplay mechanics that keep things fresh and unique, with a great deal always happening on screen. I have actually designed small shmups before, but they were very primitive and more along the lines of Gradius (though with Radiant Silvergun-esque weapons, in one case). The world really just needs more well-made shmups because it's a dying genre.

The genre would be like a Horror,Comedy, Romance thing. It would be a hack and slash with quick action battles and dynamic camera viewing. The game at core is a Mystery, solving as you go though the story. Knowing me though, there will be alot of comedy.

I have lots of ideas but the one I've been thinking about receiently is a Castle Building sim. There hasn't been a good once since the first Stronghold game.

i'd go with rpg or fighting cause customizing stuff and becoming a god in an rpg feels pretty damn good and games like street fighter and kof r pretty kickass with all the different characters and moves

I would try to make a JRPG/FPS hybrid, with some action elements to keep the blood pumping. I'd make the gun reload acting like an ATB gauge so you only get a curtain number of shots or actions before cool down. A lot of running on water, jumping off walls, and other things one would expect to find in a typical shounen anime.

As far as a theme for the setting it would probably be something like what FFvsXIII is going towards, combining past & future type of world with some solid lore behind it.
With gameplay Id attempt to combine the fast paced action of a shooter with the options of an RPG and the engagement of RTS game. The story itself would shape according to decisions made in the story as well as how you do in battles in the game. For example, there is a city within which you are the leader of a faction. Your faction has control over maybe 30% of the cities major functions & about 40% of the cities minor functions. Other factions viewing you as a threat may decide to "Team up" to take you down. Before any of this can occur you can choose to strike them first, negotiate an alliance with another faction(which may or may not hold) or dispatch spies, or carry out your own covert missions to get intel(for instance the enemies strength or some weakness to exploit). Your actions will directly impact your control of an area at any given time, and depending on how you got things done your infamy may increase or decrease. The outcome of these actions will directly impact the story in how NPCs &/or main antagonists treat & react to you, all of which would have to potential to branch out to multiple endings.
Sprinkle some romance oppurtunity in there with complete online interaction & over 30 different base options for initial story & extremely interactive character creation & customization, as well as developers that wont shortcut or neglect any detail & I believe it has the potential to be a pretty nice game, if not an extremely expensive one that would take a Hell of a lot of time to create.
Other than that I also have ideas for an online game,
And an idea for a game similar to God of War in violence, but with a female protagonist & a science fiction setting. (incidentally Ive been drawing the characters for it for a while now, but have no motivation to draw them seriously, much less type out the story or draw a manga out for it)
