I'm a big time lurker on Fakku but the sheer awesomeness of this game has dragged me out and compels me to want to post and share.
I'm not sure whether it's the stories within the game that touches me so much or the fact that so many volunteers were able to stick together and make this end result to share with everyone for free. I honestly want to force them to take my money or a donation of some kind for their efforts and the enjoyment that KS gave me for a few addicted days.
Cleared four of the routes, finally working on Shizune, who is probably the least my type of all the girls, but I'm a completionist, and it isn't as though I dislike her...
Anyway, awesome game, and the first VN I've ever completed.

I have been following it since the first release and i am very happy at how it turned out. I have completed Hanako's and Shizune's routes, and almost done with Lily's. I do believe that my next stop is Emi.

- Shizune, is the bossy type and likes to be aggresive in her life, shes no A-hole but more of a fighter type, shes likes competition and although she isnt personally my type of girl some poeple find that very attractive
- Lily, since when was she stuck up? She had a high class upbringing and naturally exerts some of that in her speech, but she is the complete opposite of stuck up
- Emi, lost both of her legs and was told that she would be able to run again, thus she worked her legs off (pun intened) to overcome her obstacles no matter what, so if anything she deserves to be called a over-achiever
- Hanako, personally ccant say nothing as i havent reached her story yet and you dont really learn much about her through others, but if you look through the others posts on this and similar threads theres alot of love for her
so instead of wasting you time raging about people you dont know... why dont you just go through the storylines?

this game has touched me so much i actually teared up in the difficult moments between these stories my personal favorite was Emi she is so strong willed her story touched me the most Who am i kidding they all were so great T-T and even the alternate break up scenes were a total crushing blow i have fallen in love with this game!!!

but i still dont agree with you, i fell for lily and emi pretty much as soon as i saw them, whilst rin just looked like some sort of slacker, heck, i didnt even realise she was one of the girls you could get with.

I thought the soundtrack to this game was a masterpiece!! I first when with Hanako cuz I'm a sucker for girls who let their hair cover droop over their face a little like she does. After completing all the girls I feel bad cuz the game draws you in with every girl you go with has problems of her own..

First time I heard about this VN (and VNs in general) was here on Fakku in 2009 when Act1 was released. Played all routes back then, sincerely awaiting the day I could play the full version.
I've finished Hanako's and Lilly's route so far, and...well, what to say? I had a huge crush on both of them while playing the demo, and nothing has changed in those 3 years. To me, they are still the most lovely heroines I ever had the pleasure to meet.
If I had to choose one of them...it would be Hanako. So beautiful (dgaf about her scars!!!), but more important the cutest character.
Happy Hanako makes me happy ^^

[size=12][color=black]I can say without a question, that this was one of the most enjoyable "set" of stories I have "read" in years; Thought provoking, depressing, inspiring, and sensual all rolled into one. Each story brought its own insight into approaching life in its own unique way, and they all interested me to no end.

To me, this also seems clear, that one can almost "feel" the love that the creators poured into this free game. Despite being free, it's the best one I have ever played.... And I have only done 1 route........ have at least 2 more to read through.
If you read the katawa shoujo blog, you can see the developers noticed the same thing, and they weren't expecting it. My honest "Thank You", for this wonderful gift to the VN Community. Even if it was a terrorist attack to our emotions :)

Emi's so far was more of a fairy tale type story. A self-conflicting girl It was a good ending! I enjoyed the final image, and the closing line.
Shizune is so obstinate and strong. Extremely take charge. This story I respect Hisao for taking the time to, truly a very long scenario which I found cute. Although I found it awkward
Finally, Lilly. Probably my favorite thus far. The speech where If that ain't romantic I don't know what is.

Well, the last few days after I got through Shizune's sad ending I had to distract me with something else. I have to say, I cried after I saw her sad ending. And in these few days I was able to finish one of my games i bought for my Xbox 360. And now again I'm ready for some "Katawa Shoujo"-action!
