In all honesty i am about to start this game but kinda a little uneasy about the disability part. Guess i am wondering if the story will leave me leaving happen about it, or depressed about the girl.

The game is wonderful. I got Hanako on the first try and I'm SO happy I did. I actually can't stop thinking about her. It's very distracting when I'm trying to play the other routes.

Who else screamed when they found out the game was finally released? I know I did. I waited five years for this!
I started with Shizune first, seeing as she was my least favorite and I did not expect much from her route. Boy was I wrong. It took about 7 hours to complete (bathroom breaks included) and let me tell you, it was amazing. I really underestimated how great this game would turn out to be.
Even though I never liked Shizune, I felt like her route changed my opinion of her. The story was more deep than I thought it would be, which is just great. How the title screen works is also really nice. The clip would have gone better at the start of Act Three, but no biggie; it's still refreshing to see.

Some wonder how such a (relatively) tasteful game had its history in 4chan. Then I reminded them that not all boards on 4chsn are /b/. Then I came here.
Additinally, I can't decide if the way that Japanese-style erotic media treats sexuality among those with medical issues. ( like cherry pink, with the retinitis girl who had an eyepatch actually being loved, even after her condition worsened.)
is funny because it's ironic that no one else has really done it like this, or sad, because, at least to my knowledge, no other major attempt has been made anywhere to explore the psyche of the disabled and their sociology in fiction, instead relegating them to sad stories or medical studies. ( would like to hear exceptions to disprove.)

The last week of the 20 days since the announcement was the worst. I was seriously considering skipping work today so I could play it.
I like all of the characters, but my first play-through belongs to Shizune (poor Misha).

I really enjoyed this one; it's much better than some of the other visual novels I've played/read (not sure which verb to use).
She has scars along the right side of her body; they're explained in the game.

I just finished Hanako's route, and I gotta say, I'm thoroughly impressed with what they did with the story. My expectations were high, after a 5 year wait, but damn, they didn't just exceed them, they shattered them. And on top of that, the H-scene didn't feel nearly as out of place as they normally do. And the writing was better than Nasu's, so I'm happy.
