League of Legends (DotA Adaptation)

I haven't heard too much except from a buddy of mine who was talking about it.
Pretty much the people who made DotA realized that they are being confined to the WC3 engine and decided to make their own game. This game is entirely free and looks decent. Its not out yet.

What is it? :|

The art style looks like WoW, but I have no idea what the gameplay could be.

Its based off of warcraft 3. Specifically off a custom map called Defense of the Ancients. I'm probably gonna get addicted like mad to it and call up my cousin to do some pwning.

The only major difference with DotA I've seen is that you have to level up your Summoner in order to unlock more characters and abilities by winning matches. And then you can spec in your talent tree for offense, defense, or utility. Characters have their own abilities and you can have only 2 summoner abilities added to your character in a battle. Sorta similar to guild wars.

So yet another game based off of dota? Its a fun game and all, but I dont get why people are so obsessed over it.

As long as they have the crazy voices going M-M-M-M-Monster Kill! and Ownage! I think I'll get addicted to anything.

If the game is same with DotA,I'll go for it .

I stopped playing Dota about 1 month ago (takes up at least 1 hour per game, plus hope that you have decent allies that won't do something to be called noob for whatever reason.) Any other AOS I'd be willing to try (If its Enmity Campaign [Another Warcraft 3 AOS/or another Dota Adaptation], I always go into it.)other then Eota.

Well if you dont want to play with noobs you can try playing DotA on GArena. I usually only play with my cousin who lives 9 hours away from me. Somehow he is always getting into some huge LAN party and I end up using Hamachi to connect with the host to play with them and we have a good time. Although for some reason Hamachi totally lags the shit up for me.

gArena is the best server for playing DotA .
But,I never play online again .
I recommend that server,coz I have bad experience when I play in another serve.
Also,I hate being 'raped' by 5 bad invisible heroes .

GArena is a noob place. TDA games are way better. Atlest you get banned for sucking & leaving. Unlike GArena. And you need to have a minimum requirement to join TDA games.

GArena is a want-to-be pro place, that fails

I've gotten in huge shit talking about Warhammer Online on Fakku before, so no I won't talk about it until I'm allowed too.

Well can you tell us about how the game's multiplayer works? I mean its capabilities of connecting like either through their server or if you can actually host your own games or if we are wanting to connect to a friends' lan party if we will have to be using Hamachi or not.

I'm bumping this because I didn't want to make a new thread about it. Is anyone actually playing this? I've been watching my friend play and I want to try it, but I'd rather not play alone.

I am playing it.Lol seems not alot of people are around here.

If you wan to try,its okay to try alone since you can just play practice matches until you are good.

Lol even though I am level 10 and above,I play pratice matches since everyone is about the same skill.The matchmaking system matches you against pros - -;;
