Lets see. SMT: Devil Survivor. FF4, Chrono Trigger, The World Ends With You, anddd Super Robot Taisen OG SagaI still have my old copy of Chrono Trigger (along with my SNES) lying around somewhere, so I don't see the need to buy it again for the ds. I also already played The World Ends With You, but didn't really get to far into it.
I would give the world ends with you another try

I'm looking at Rune Factory 3, and it seems like a game that'll kill some time, but I'll keep looking before I make any decision. One of my friends also just recommended Sands of Destruction. Only thing is, I never heard of it until recently so I don't know much about it. Did anyone get a chance to play it and see if it's any good?It definitely kills time. I've already got 6-ish hours in and I'm only level 12 and barely starting the story. Never heard of Sands of Destruction, so I can't really give any opinion on that, though.

I'll throw in my recommendation if you can handle dealing with high encounter rates

World Warrior
I'd suggest 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors as a good DS visual novel-type game if you can find it.

Um..Rune Factory 3? There are no random battles. The only time you get a random one is the one time in the beginning that monsters attack your farm. It's action-rpg based combat, so there really aren't any "encounters". Unless I'm interpreting what you said wrong. If I am, I apologize.

I've Been meaning to buy that and Kirby Mass Attack for a while now, but had to hold off on it due to general lack of money at the time. Unfortunately, I might have to order it off of Amazon, as I've never seen it at a Gamestop store before.
