I have been fighting whether to play the partial patches first or watch the anime O.oNo brainer on that imo. Anime only makes sense if you've played a bit of the VN and spoils parts of Momoyo's route.
Would also recommend playing as the routes come out unless you really want to kill yourself for 3 days or so when we finish the final patch. Think of each patch like a new novel in a series.

Yes, actually the wait is killing me I really want to watch it but I want to play the game 1st b4 the anime but the game still has 2 routes to go, that's like another 6 months. I'm so troubled -.-

yeah I watched some of the anime first and wish I didn't. I was thinking about waiting for the full translation too, but I'm glad I gave in. the way it's set up I think that playing each route as they come out is fine.
the anime just will confuse you and ruin part of Momoyo's route, well it did for me. it felt a lot less epic in the anime too.

The anime would've been better if they animated the prologue first then they decide on whether to follow a heroine's route or the true route.. that's only my opinion though

Speaking of comparing the anime to the VN. I have to say that watching the anime first then doing the actual part in the route makes you appreciate what was missing. I appreciate how the anime was trying to re create the whole Kawakami Battle but they know that it would be impossible to just copy the whole thing into 20 mins.
But in essence the anime was basically there to fill in the blanks. Take for example the new episode. It showed Fushikawa acting like the snobbish fuck that she is. Which I worry whether it actually happens in Majikoi S. But regardless it is really fun.

Well, lets think of it this way. She's a woman that has not any experience with men, meaning that by having Yamato conquer her, he gets to paint her with his own colours.
Would that sound more pleasant? - 3-

If you want to play the absolute minimum, the prologue + Momoyo's route will cover you for the anime. Also, it's not 2 routes left, it's 2 heroines routes, the true route, and 5 shorter side character sub routes. I.E. it's gonna take longer so you should play now. It really does lend itself well to playing as they come out.

I really need help, when I try to launch the game it gives me a description of something about Disc2, but I don't understand what it's trying to say, can anyone enlighten me please?Kinda hard to know what the problem is without seeing it, pictures help us help you. All I can do to help without seeing the problem is go through step by step of how I installed it in the off chance you screwed up somewhere during installation.
Step 1: Mount disc 1 using Daemon tools
Spoiler:
Step 2: Run applocale and have it run the setup file
Spoiler:
Select the correct language(last in the list)
Spoiler:
Step 3: Click finish to get to this screen and click the middle option
Spoiler:
Step 4: Select the option on the left on the next screen, just let it install where it wants and install fully.
Spoiler:
Step 5: When you're stopped and asked about disc 2, change from disc 1 over to 2 on daemon tools and click OK to continue and finish installation.
Spoiler:
Step 6: Apply the current patch to the installed game directory. Which is as simple as extracting the patch files from the rar into where the game is installed.
If all of THAT doesn't help, well then I'm not sure how to help until you post exactly what the problem is.
EDIT: And after all that time of doing that with this crap ass internet connection, I see another post from him that makes me think this won't help at all lol awesome sauce.
And on that note, I finally got around to the "Hermit Crab Route" and I must say, some epic shit right there. And woot woot for 70% translation of the Chris route....hyper weapon II lol
I did exactly as this said and I can play it properly now... well, not that I started playing the game, yet. But I will tonight.
I presume Momoyo patch has all the translations done currently?

Try to update your runtime. Check the microsoft website or google it.

@taker : take a look at this topic

My friends have the same error ,they redownload another copy of the game and reinstall (update C++) and it's fixed.
