Marvel VS Capcom 2

Well i looked in *Master list of V game threads* and did not find this so.



It seemed to came out recently on XBL and PSN.

Got this beast on PSN week ago. I will have to admit that this is my first time playing this game and it looks pretty epic.

But there is a slight problem. When playing Single player even on hardest mode, the enemies seem to be too easy. But when i try playing it online, i get my ass handed to me in a matter of seconds which is not very appealing. People online seem to rely on assist too much while i'm on the other hand trying to make it all fair and go one on one.

I must ask fans to unite *if there is any here* and explain to me what is the right way to play this game lol.

If i must use assists after all, then i would like to ask you guys on good character combinations.

Preferably combos that include these characters :

Cap'n Commando
Tron Bonne
Ryu
Spider man
Venom

One of my favorite 2-D crossover fighting games of all time. The game is epic in all concepts of fighting, the combos and team attacks are awesome, and the many combination's you can pull off. I recommend this game to anyone who is new to fighting games (which I'm pretty sure lots of people aren't since this is a popular title). Also, here are my 2 fun teams that I use.

As for character assists some people use Thanos cause his bubble renders you helpless for a second giving you the time to start a combo or Hyper combo. Also, the reason you probably got owned so quick online is cause the game has been out since 2000 and it's given people more then enough time to home in on their skills, but you just keep at it and eventually you too will improve.

Well i know that the game is old and, that it has insane number of fans. That's why i got it in the first place. Otherwise i would have thought twice about getting it because, i've got too many fighting games as it is lol.

i got this game when it came out on the ps2 love this game (but i still hate this game). after playing this game with a verity of people i learned to win is to spam your assist and pick characters for there assist then learn how to play as them. easiest way to win was to find a basic corner trap or the launcher cheat.

either way i mostly played the game for the marvel side.

I've been lazy with the Master thread. LoL! My Bad, school & work is killing me

MVC2 is DEFINED by it's assist and tagging system. All's fair, get better, learn what beats what and get around it.

Surprised how nobody's mentioned how much of a disaster this game is in terms of balance, what with Magneto/Storm/Sentinel/Cable (aka 4 gods) crushing the entire cast, along with a select few assists.

Still fun as hell to watch at the highest level though. Glad to see people still getting into it.

Iron Man is a bitch. If he gets that 3 hit infinite combo on your ass you might as well give up.

So far so good. Need a suitable combo for Cap'n Commando. He seemed to kick alot of asses while i was testing every chara.
