I've only just noticed this, but I can't seem to rank up any further. My experience bar's been stuck in the middle for the last 2 weeks and I'm still a Fighter rank. I've been playing a lot of online fights, both ranked and player matches, but my rank hasn't changed even the slightest.Your rank goes up if you win X amount of matches and goes down if you loss.
Beat somebody who is a higher rank then you,you go up a rank.Beat somebody equal or lower then your rank it stays the same.

Well, I've been severly disappointed today. I finally find a player who actually fights without using loop combos or infinites and had a rather even matchup. However, as soon as I gained the upperhand in one match, he starts spamming Akuma's spin-kick and Iron Man's chest beam like a 6 year old. All respect I had for that man died at the same moment that his fighting style did.
On a side note, I've been working on a new team made up of Taskmaster, Doom, and Dante. Tasky's for defensive and adaptable play, Doom for keep away from rush down fighters like Wolverine and She-Hulk, and Dante for rushing in and adding pressure to my opponent.

But if you are unable to defend against something so repetitive in nature, why would your opponent stop doing it? If you're being beaten by a certain combo, practice guarding against it until you can block it on reaction. The easy ways to get out of spam are having a good anti projectile assist (Doom Rocks, Gamma Wave, to name two), super jumping, and pushblock. Taskmaster is a beast IMO. You can link his mighty swing twice in his combos, so be sure to make good use of it. For Doom, either run his Missile or Rocks assist, depending on your needs, and while they're blocking rush in with Dante and do one of his trillion combos to keep the pressure on. Keep it up and they'll crack.

I switched morrigan out about a month ago, using Doom/Dorm/Wekser
Wesker will probably get replaced too. But he works for now. Also switched to rocks for doom.

obviously he didnt need to resort to plan B since plan A kept working.

Keep it up and they'll crack.I never said I lost from the attack spamming. I was just dissapointed by it. Granted, it got me the first few times before I could properly adapt to the change. To get past Iron Man's chest beam, I used Doom's foot dives to stomp him like Mario. As for Akuma, Taskmaster's wide range of counter-attacks put him back down pretty hard. My Taskmaster play had gotten better. Possibly moreso than how I fare with Deadpool. Dante seems to be a cointoss with me as I either do really well with him or he get's KOd within 5 seconds of entering the match. If anything, Doom is my most stable fighter as he can absorb a good amount of damage for a keepaway fighter and can hold his own in CQ.
I've also started to notice that my controller is loosing it's responsiveness as it outright refused to do some of my attacks/hypercombos. This is the same controller that came with my 360 when I bought it 4 years ago, so it's pretty worn down. I'll probably replace it when I can afford it.

I will tell you now, I spam the hell out of Magneto's Disruptor because it works. People are just too stupid. They tell me to learn how to play... Oh I know how to play. If you're going to get chipped or hit to high hell, I'm gonna keep using Disruptor until you prove to me you can get around it. Why the hell should I do anything else?
Of course, there are people who are smarter and better. Of course I'll adjust my strategy for them. Obviously I can't spam Disruptor and I'll obviously opt for a closer ranged approach and then do those annoying long ass Magneto loops.
I'm still learning Taskmaster, but I made him my anchor over Haggar. He has more speed the opponent can't run away from him as easily as they can Haggar.

I'd say it's easier to zone in MvC3 compared to MvC2. A lot of projectile characters can keep away a lot of the cast if you know how to use them properly.
Even though zoning in MvC3 gets a little bit on my nerves since I'm more of a rush-down type player, I know that there are ways around projectile characters. People need to stop complaining and start learning how to go around the playstyle.

I've played people who rage at my zoning and try to zone me with Doom/Arthur/Sentinel/Etc. I either 1. Outzone them or 2. Rush them down. It's easy because those people obviously don't know how to zone properly. It's ridiculous sometimes.
I do really bad against button mashers. It's hard to punish online sometimes. =/

If an opponent can't defend against an attack of yours, why would you stop doing it? Especially when you're playing keepaway, you need to spam projectiles, it's what your gameplan is. Why would someone playing Arthur rushdown with him?

I don't know about you, but I find no satisfaction in winning a match by spamming projectiles or repeating the same combo the entire match. I play for fun and I like to keep things lively. That's not to say that I'll let myself get my ass kicked when I know I can still easily win a match if I go at it the right way. But I will, however, do unnecessary things (i.e. stupid shit) for the sake of ammusement. I've actually lost quite a few times because I felt horribly compelled to try to KO my opponent by using Deadpool's taunt offensively near the end of the match.

I play to enjoy myself, and I enjoy myself by winning. If my opponent can't block something, why should I stop using it? I play both rushdown and keepaway, and I enjoy finding weaknesses in my opponent's defense. If I know I can get an easy mixup using Wolvie's Zerker Barrage and Sent's Drones assist, then I'll do it. If I know you'll walk into attacks without blocking, I won't stop. If you always fall for the same moves over and over, I'll use them. Fighters aren't about wondering whether the opponent is having fun, it's about your own fun. So long as you're having fun doing what you want, that's all there is to it. I keep the weird stuff for playing with my friends, but online I play to win.

Guys, bad news to some. Lupinko has yet again, gotten a whole new leak and information. Super MVC3 coming our way. I'm done with video games now and all I want now is just Batman: Arkham Asylum and Mass Effect 3.

What makes it "Super"? The in-game inclusion of Jill and Shuma plus the recently added shadow fighters and events?

That's what you get for being a loyal fan of Capcom's fighting games branch lol.
If that info is true, i bet you guys will get MvC3Arcade Edition or beter yet...Console Edition *since i haven't seen much MvC3 on arcades* in the future.
Seriously what happened with gaming community these days...as soon as a new fighting game comes out, it becomes a must buy. I got SSF4 as my first SF experience, i'm plenty satisfied with it. I don't feel the need for AE so i won't buy it.
I am a hardcore Guilty Gear player to begin with, i will just patiently wait for a new GG game to sink my teeth into until the end of time.
As for you people, make up your mind already and stop buying so much new fighting games all at once. They are not RPGs, they take time to master. If you change your game every year, you will never master any of it and will just frustrate yourselves with *Capcom's Super disease*
P.S. If you really need to buy a fighting game made by Capcom, wait for them to announce a different game from their FG branch. Logic: If they announce a different fighting game, that means they are pretty much finished polishing their previous game. SSF4AE is not such a huge leap forward from SSF4, which is not a big deal since SSF4 is balanced and well made version which doesn't require future major improvement. AE is just a crappy way of ripping the community to the last cent using a dead horse such as SSF4

Actually they nerfed guile, ryu, ken, and abel as far as I know. And buffed the fuck outta Sakura, Makoto. And they buffed a few characters and vice versa. Fixed the characters hitboxes. Also they added new characters with alt costumes. Imo I think it is a huge leap. Plus its dlc so it wont cost much I'd assume. But besides that, I agree with it takes time to learn how to play the game correctly.
