Ok, out of plain curiosity, I want to know if anyone besides me has played every Metal Gear game in existence (including the originals Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. Also Metal Gear Solid: Ghost Babel).
No need to mention Metal Gear Acid 1 and 2, those games sucked ass.
Also curious which of the series is your favorite, and how many times you've beaten them. My favorite: Metal Gear Solid 3.
My records: Metal Gear, 3 times. Metal Gear 2, 2 times. Metal Gear Solid Ghost Babel, 5 times. Metal Gear Solid 1, 12 times (best time was 3 hours, 11 minutes.) Metal Gear Solid 2, 10 times. (best time was 3 hours, 37 minutes.) Metal Gear Solid 3, 27 times. (best time is 2 hours, 44 minutes.) Metal Gear Solid 4, 11 times. (best time is 4 hours, 56 minutes. i just barely got the big boss emblem) Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, 6 times. (best time, 3 hours, 1 minute.) Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, 4 times and counting. (best time, 4 hours, 35 minutes.)

you didnt play VR missions? =o I got top rank on every mission there.
also, i think your numbers are skewed xD I know i have played each iteration of MGS alot of times too, but its over the span of more than 10 years, theres no way in hell anyone can remember the exact numbers, unless MGS is about the only videogame you have ever played in your entire life o.o;;. >>; i for one, dont.

Whoops. forgot to mention the VR missions. I got top rank in every one except one i think. forget what it was tho.
Its not over ten years, It's five. I discovered the series long before then, but wasn't interested. Then my brother (we aren't actually related in any way.) told me to get MGS3. Since then, i have bought every single Metal Gear game. (i even found that red box edition of MGS3 Subsitence. I just went for my speed runs a few days ago, I that's why i remember. And my friends will never let me forget how many times I've beaten each game, they say I have no life. In reality, I'm a fucking Metal Gear otaku. Obviously.
Also, GOD FUCKING DAMMIT THE BIG BOSS EMBLEM WAS SO FUCKING HARD TO GET. took me 2 tries to get it and god knows how many practice rounds i think 4 or 5. didn't really like the patriot, made the game too easy, but the big boss face is awesome. If you wear the face next to the FROG soldiers they scream and pass out instantly. Male soldiers will just freak out until they faint. Hilarious.

I like MGS3, Portable Ops (because its portable) and MGS Peace Walker. the rest were also good but those are my top 3. unfortunately I haven't played all the MGS games, which is a shame since I really want to but I can't find any stores that sell the early MGS games

A topic just for me, since I absolutely love that series. My favourite one is definitely Metal Gear Solid on PSOne, played that one 20+ times. Other than that I finished MGS2, MGS3, MGS4, MGS Portable Ops, MGS Acid 1, MGS Acid 2, VR Missions and that Visual Graphic novel(retelling of MGS). Phew, quite a long list :)

I played Metal Gear Solid, MGS2, MGS3, MGSpeacewalker, MGS4, and a little of VRmissions havent played Babel and Acid cause they sound bad

Acid was pretty bad, it took me 3 ragequits (not really ragequits more like boredom quits) to finish it

I've played an MGS Demo on Playstation and have a stack of games I'm playing right now with MGS 2 and 3 in it.

In my opinion MGS3 is the best, in terms of gameplay and graphics, in the PS2 platformI totally agree with you on that (plus the story and characters were awesome as well), but Metal Gear Solid 2 was my favorite. Might be because that was the 1st one that I played though.
P.S.
No one has mentioned Metal Gear Solid Mobile or the one for iPhone/Touch yet... has no one played them??? I've beaten Mobile nearly 10 times since it was short; I'm pretty sure it was like an "interquel" set between MGS1 and 2. Not sure about the one for iTouch, though.

With the story line, I have to say that every MGS Game had a great story line(thats actually why I didn't put it in). I've never heard of MGS Mobile, I've played Portable Ops on the PSP though and the one on the Iphone(not really fun in my opinion). but yeah, MGS3 was the first one I played.

BlinkXPoke
Cards and Hugs abound
MGS 1 thru 4, and Peace Walker are the ones I've played.
It's one of the few series I can start over several times and not become bored with it. I've finished each one I've owned at least 4 times each, MGS4 I've beaten, I think, 12 times, and Peace Walker I have at least 200 hours in it. (These numbers may not be all that impressive... Someone I chat with on a different forum has at least double these numbers.)
I love the gameplay, and I love the storyline. And the only complaints I've heard were from people who didn't seem to understand it, and my friend who thinks it sucks just because someone else told him it did. My other friends and I have been trying to force him to play it since the first time he said that.
What do you guys think of Rising, btw? Playing as Cyborg Ninja Raiden, yet it's still a stealth game? I realize the entire series has based on stealth, but I would think it'd be more fun to be a badass with that high-frequency sword of his. But that's just my opinion.

It was nice to see the games played from another perspective (sort of), and Young Ocelot was win. Old man Ocelot's better tho. PSP wise, it's Peace Walker. And most badass fight wise: MGS4. OLD MAN BATTLE!!!
Also, ACiD is very underrated. I liked the MGA games, cards and all. The storylines were kinda stupid though, reminded me of Snake's Revenge.
