Modern Warfare 3

Regardless of whether Battlefield 3 will be more critically acclaimed or not, it will not even come close to outselling Modern Warfare 3. The masses will continue to eat up the Call of Duty franchise, while not even being stirred by the presence of Battlefield 3. Until something drastic happens to either franchise, this trend will continue uninterrupted by the BF3 v. MW3 debate.

Honestly, the entire genre is stagnating beyond belief. I love the audacity that Westerners have for the RPG market (especially JRPGs) when the same can be said of the FPS market. There hasn't been any real innovation in the genre for as many years as their has been no innovations in the RPG market. [font=verdana][color=green]Well, I can think of one game that was pretty revolutionary fairly recently (well, within the last two years); Demon's Souls. The online play of that is superb, as well as the game itself. Can't wait for October.

I still believe Battlefield 3 will sell more. Call of Duty 3 will be a great game, but repetitiveness eventually comes into play with these sequels.

I may wait to buy both BF3 and MF3 unless I have enough money left and because of saints row the third, assassins creed revelations, skyrim, and uncharted 3.

Unless something drastic happens, Modern Warfare 3 will be my last Call of Duty game. With all this talk of stagnation and sucking, why get it at all?

"If you put Modern Warfare 2 next to Modern Warfare 3 you would see a huge difference," he said. There is so much that we've added, so when someone says 'cut and paste', I don't even want to talk to them because they don't know. They just don't know. They have no idea."So once they're done making modern warfare 2 all over again, they just add prettier graphics. How sweet of them.

I'm assuming that you've never played a Battlefield game before and have only played COD on console. You'll get 60fps and much better graphics/gameplay on PC.
IMO console players that have only played COD should just stick with what they're only good at. BF3 was designed from BF2, which was only for PC, with some elements from BC2. Play TDM or SDM.
OT: I'll probably just torrent this game for the campaign. The multiplayer looks similar to MW2, which is fine, but it doesn't motivate me to spend sixty dollars on it.

I don't see why people keep saying that MW3 is the same as MW2 in game play? I mean for Christ's sake people, listen to yourselves. Same thing? If you strip a game down to the bare basics, it's ALWAYS a point A to point B, kill everything in site game for shooters.
So what if they get a new engine? it's would still have been the the same exact god damn thing they would have done for the game with the old engine, just slightly different functions.
It's an incredibly weak argument if you say that game play is the same as the previous game, just new things added on. Look at every other sequal game there is. It's the exact same damned thing your doing, just some new weapons, new character models, new graphics.
Like I said, IT'S A WEAK ARGUMENT.

I'm looking the game as just single player and not multiplayer, and from there I can say that it's just trying to sell based off the premise of WW3. MW2 had a very weak story with bad plot devices to try and build up for its sequel. From that I can tell the game is just going to have a bland and boring campaign with over the top action sequences again. MW surprised us and had a good campaign as far as modern shooters go, but MW2 tried to just go for shock factor without a good plot or gameplay. MW3 as far as I can tell is just going to be the same thing. I will still torrent the game to play through campaign to see if Sledgehammer can prove me wrong and show that they really dedicated their time into making a good campaign. Also, don't tell me that people don't buy for the singleplayer because that's the worst excuse ever to be lazy with making a campaign.
As for multiplayer, it really is just a skin over MW with more noob perks and killstreaks to cater to the new console FPS players.

So guys, my friend posted this link on facebook, and I was quite curious on what it could be. Since I love Call of Duty, I decided to check it out. Man, was I laughing my ass of the whole time in this video. It was cool! Jonah Hill lost a shitload of weight in the amount of time, but still keeping his composure and still being a good actor on set. Anyway, without further ado, here's to the video that made my day!
