Monster Hunter 3rd Portable [Operation Cherry Blossom]

the new MonHan game series that's gonna get released in japan this weeks's wednesday (tommorow).

here's a the promotional video that includes the new thing that you can do in farm(farming,fishing,probably mining,and the new feature like training the felynes,let the felynes catch the bug,etc).



in here,the kitchen system will be gone but for the replacement you can cook 10 meat at the same time in the farm and enters the onsen(bath house) to increase your hp and stamina.they even got the onsen's drink too so you can stay in the bath while playing around with other player and your felyne.

the weapons will be the same with monhan tri but with new features.when hunting,you can bring 2 with you but when it's a 2 person party,one of the player bring 1 strongest felyne with them.each felynes have their own skills depending their own character.there's an ass slaping mocker,coward,lazy,hot headed,etc.and if your bag getting full and you want to gather more,some of the stage have felyne barrel service which can brings some of your item back directly to your home.

now about the monsters,there'll be lots of subspecies like nargacuga supspecies and new monster like the bear(aoashira),bear-koala look alike(urukususu),black tigrex,green barroth,red kurupeko,sand abomination hapurubogga,the lighting dragon jinouga (let this dragon charge himself three times,you're as good as dead if you didn't know how to deal with it and kill it fast enough),etc.and you still can get interupted by that T-rex,ibirujo.

i've been waiting for this baby since i didn't get to play monhan tri that got into wii.and i bet at the release thay,lots of gamer/otaku will lining up infront of the game store in akihabara since dawn while it's freezing.
finally i'm got a chance to try that slash axe weapon.lol.

still don't know when the us release will be on sale but probably a year after the jap ver came out.

so,anybody else waiting for this baby?

because the jap ver's released this wednesday,i doubt the us ver's gonna get released soon.it'll take long time to get released.

For those who have Cfw this game might not work... so use a psp with Firmware 6.35 and of cource buy the game :D..Hope that this game do well in the market so that they can release a us ver soon..

How about the new Prometheus CFW, think it will work?

yeah it wont work ,even Torkys plugin.This news came from a japanese source at pspslimhack but eventually it will be hack but it will take a quite long time to crack it .. [spoil]
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd to Ship with PSP Firmware 6.36?


Seems so according to a Japanese source over at pspslimhacks… It’s reported that said firmware — PSP Firmware 6.36 — is secured so tight that plugins like Prometheus or Torky’s will not work, which means any games requiring 6.36 you’re shit out of luck. That’s of course until someone cracks the new keys, which probably won’t take all that long. Or wait… Has Sony introduced some crazy new method in shutting us down? Nothing that couldn’t be hacked I’m sure… I think the real question is: Does 6.36 patch TN’s kernel exploit? 6.35 doesn’t. But it seems too soon for that seeing as Monster Hunter Portable 3rd ships December 1st. What do you think?

I dont have a hacked psp and i like being able to read my stuff when I play so i wont be able to play this one. I could get the original jap version, but its gonna cost a fortune and I wont ever be able to patch it for a fan translation -_-'...

Im gonna have to wait the english version, but since every fan of the game will already be playing for months... I might have to skip this one, which is a damn shame ;_;

Well its ok for me if it cant be hacked because im againts pirating...Because if they pirate this game the gamemaker might decide to put the upcoming games to another console and some us dont want...Well if some of us dont have the money u can pirate it then save the money when you have enough money buy it.And if this game do well in the market they might think about making another sequal...Just my opinion

phew~i'm really satisfied after i managed to get my hands on Monhan and the Monhan's new PSP edition.i've been eyeballing it since the Monhan producer introduce it in TGS.
the new things:

-weapons:new weapon combo like the lance actually have a lvl 1 charge attack like great sword.gunlance become really easy to use and have a quick reload,i'm still getting hang of the slash axe,hunting horn still complicated as usual to me,great sword got 2 charge attacks,when you use sword and shield you can use bomb/traps WITHOUT unsheathe the blade,when using the bow the longer the range the greater the damage you can deliver to the enemy,bowguns got crouching shot mode that increase the shooting damage but makes you vulnerable if the enemy suddenly assault you, more long sword/katana combos and the last is the twin blade.got more combo that increase the attack numbers and it actually have a spirit gauge like long sword/katana.so,usual twin blades combo+demon mode+spirit power=INSTANT RAEP!
weapon sharp meter only up till white part.no more purple sharpness.when doing weapon combo while playing with other player,you can hit them (small damage) and actually send them flying (example i use a hammer and doing the spin+golf hit combo and accidentally send kaimax fly and he landed face on monster dung.lol).

-farm: at fishing,you don't have to fish the fish one by one like previous game because it use a fish trap that caught several fish at once like the net fishing.catching bugs requires some bait like honey but there's special baits as well.you can cook 10 meat/fish at once with the help of your felyne,but be careful because the cooking timing is slightly faster than the previous.like the bombing felyne in mine,you can make felyne mine the material.you can send unused felynes on their own quest to collect items and fight monsters.

-felyne:to make felyne's weapon/armor,you gotta....well,you already knew.there's three special armor:mafumofu(req previous data from MH2ndG/MHFU),pokka pokka(req data from pokka pokka airu mura) and solid snake (req MGS peace walker data)(and yes,when their crouching,they crouch while hiding in the box).

that's what i can say for now.
right now i'm at two star village chief's quest and HR 1 quests.
kinda pissed for always getting SURPRISE BEAR HUG by aoashira(アオアシラ） if i din't guard on time.good thing it isn't pedobear and try to do it from behind me.lol.but sometimes it did attack the felynes and try to do the same thing.thank good it's not pedobear.lol.

if you got save data from pokka pokka airu village,MH2ndG and MGS peacewalker,you can have special equipment.
and if you want to increase the hot spring effect and hot spring drinks,gotta do Bandai-san's quests.

Well, it's fast because the Prometheus covers all games that's now using 6.35 OFW.

So, it was a simple tweak for the prometheus team.

but if you face your first "caution" sign,you can stay to see who's coming but you don't have any winning chance.i was doing that and when i took a hit,god fuck it's strong.lol.

same.i'm sticking to my ol great sword for balanced attack and defence reason.
