Need Help For PS3

Ok, I just got myself a PS3. I hooked everything up, set up the settings, and for some odd reason, I have no audio. Litterally, there is nothing coming from that thing, either from gameplay to the actual opening when you turn it on. It isn't my TV either, I tried hooking it up to our newer TV and still nothing.

I wanna see of there is anything that I can do to fix this problem, or if I'll just have to go back and ask for a new one, since I do have a 30 day warrenty.

What type of cable and TV are you using?

Check cables
Check if you have it on ch 3/4 or video/aux 1-10
Is it a hdmi or Composite/component video
Is it plug in.

If that doesn't work, return it.

By the way, why aren't my trophies and new avatar showing? O_o

Never mind, solved.

Ok, thanks for the tips, but I got it solved. Tried it with some new cords and the problem remained, so my PS3 was devectives. Get me a new one and is working perfectly.
