Need Help With My PS3
0
Ok so I loaned my playstation to my friend who wanted to watch a couple of blu-rays on his new tv. Well I did so and even loaned him my HDMI cable as well. What happened was that he set it up to the highest resolution (which it does automatically anyways), the problem is that his tv is at a higher resolution than mine. So now it's stuck at that resolution which my tv cant pick up so I cant see anything and I dont know how to fix it. I've tried leaving it on by itself on the off chance that it is resetting itself to my settings but to no avail.
Any advice on this you guys?

Have your friend switch it back to your resolution on his T.V.?
The PS3 doesn't Auto detect. Or at least mine doesn't. I always have to manually switch to components for when I livestream and back to HDMI for when I want pretty.
Resolution must be checked on the highest. What kind of T.V. do you have?

Go back to his house and manually set it to your TV's resolution. I assume the screen will then go blank for him so you'll have to figure out a way to view the lower res at his house so you can confirm the switch.

I read the manual and you just have to restart your ps3 2 times and the original settings are restored that way.

Read your owners manual.
