I'd really like to download VN but I'm not the most techno savy person can anyone help me out with some of the tech specs..is there one in english the fairly esy to download...I'd appreciate any help guys.

Basic FAQ and Tutorials ZOMG this one too!
Steps in brief:
1: Select a VN you like - Recommendations here and here
2: Visit the desired thread
3: Download the part files (usual file host is MU)
4: UnRar the part files to get setup
5: Don't forget the Japanese Regional Setting (required for quite a few games - esp fan translations)
6: Install and fap Play
7: ???
8: Profit!
And don't worry about system requirements, apart from a few 3D games you'll be able to run all. My 4-year old laptop (1.67Ghz Duo Core; 1GB RAM; 256 MB shared Graphics; Win XP) can run all 100+ I've played so far.
If you are running Vista or Win7 then you'll need to run some of them them in admin mode with 98/2000/xp compatibility mode.
Edit: I'll recommend Yume Miru Kusuri for starters. Fairly small setup file = Easy to DL. Official translation = Jap Regional not required. Excellent story, good art and Aeka <3~

Since the setup files are large, they are packed and split into parts using WinRar or 7Zip
1: Just download all the parts, and keep them at the same location.
2: Right click on the first part and click "Extract to <FolderName>"
3: WinRar/7Zip will automatically identify and join them to make a single file/folder
(Some of the uploads use HJSplit. And I think a couple of Arzith's older uploads use a weird splitter, which can be found in the thread itself)
4: Many of the setup files are ISOs/Image files. Use Daemon Tools to mount them into a virtual drive and install.
