Non-slim PS3 fucked.

This morning my PS3 told me there was some trophy error with Killzone 2. Then, I saw that my Killzone 2 trophies were wiped. So far, that seems to be the only issue. A moment ago I read a sankaku article basically mentioning the same shit I experienced. I just don't fucking get it, even the offline PS3s were affected, meaning SONY either wanted that to happen, or they fucked up big time (it's usually best to assume incompetence).

Is anybody else having PS3 issues, and if so, to what degree are you affected?

I just brought Bioshock for my *fat* PS3 today. Played a little. But after seeing this,i'm not turning on my console until i get Demon's Souls delivered to me.

For me i cant log in into PSN.My trophies appear to be fine though(not that i care about them)

IRONICALLY I saw the article at kotaku before I switched on my PS3 and I didnt read it.- -;;

The error is cause by the PS3 fat internal clock system.Something to do with a leap year or something.Since all ps3 fats are made the same,all will have problems at the same time.There are certain fat models that arent affected.

I'm not getting back on mine until this is fixed

Shit happened to me when I was about to play some FIFA 10. Fuck! And I was only a few games away from promoting Northampton to League 1.

Cause i cant access to the new areas in Borderlands (Jacobs Cove, The Underdome and T-Bone Junction)

Well, I guess Ive got one thing to brag about for owning a slim. (Then again I havent been able to sign onto PSN for months due to shitty internet =__=) Now all I need is backwards compatibility :?

Not me. I can play in Big Surf Island on Burnout just fine. All my DLC cars are usable too.

Well i have the same problem with mine, but when i wanted to play Star ocean i got disconnected and then i asked around in CR, where someone showed me the link to those psn news. Something like that should really not happen from a big company like Sony. T_T

Is this what games have come to? Trophies? yeah i like to get them but its not all about them.
Aside from that, When i had my fat ps3 i had this issue, are you connected to the internet? if you arnt, try connecting to the net and sync the trophies.
I think its more of an Offline issue than online.
Its Sonys plot to get people online =/

Toyota did a pretty good job repairing their shit so im sure that Sony will fix it in no time. (I have COMPLETE faith in them)

Remember that this only affects the first edition release version of the Phat Ps3, models that was made right before the new slim might have a chance that it wasn't affected.

Have a slim no trouble here, hope to you guys who owns the first edition Phat will get your PS3 working ASAP.

My PHAT is working now. It just needed 24hrs to go a day ahead of the whole leap year thing. Same thing happened to the 1st gen Microsoft Zune. No big deal, still have all my data, trophies etc.

i don't no if im lucky but on Friday i got the yellow light of death and i call sony and they wanted me pay 150 but i still have warranty at sames club so it good but on Sunday all this stuff happed

Fortunately enough for me, my PS3 Hagane was not affected. I guess since its a Metal Gear LE, its pretty tough. :)

Holy Jebus, that sucks so hard. I wonder if there's like backup data or something.
