Oblivion (Elder Scrolls) - VAMPIRES

OK well i have been playing oblivion for a while now and i have made extra sure NOT to get vampire disease (can't remember the name) or get bitten by one. But, after doing that mission for the Mage Guild where you had to kill vampires in order to get information from the count, it finally happened. I went to sleep and the first notice came up. Luckily, i saved before i got the notice, so technically i don't have it. I need to sleep to lvl up though, so im going to have to become a vampire at some point. I just want to have all the things i need for the cure so i can get it over with. i looked up a couple of ways to get rid of it and i have questions. If anyone could answer it would be a big help! So here are my two questions,
-I have three days before turning into a vamp. i read somewhere that if you get a "cure disease potion" and drink it before the three days, you can save yourself the trouble of that long quest for the cure. Is this true?
-Second, if i have to the long quest anyway, can someone give me a step by step? I have no idea where to start.
well that's about it! thanks!

The easy way to prevent vampirism would be to head to the nearest city ASAP and just pray at the chapel altar. Just make a beeline there as fast as you can and don't sleep anywhere and you'll be fine.
Cure disease potions and spells should work, too.

Another option would be to get the Deepscorn Hollow DLC. It's a house for vampires and it can cure vampirism. It also has so good gear for level 30+

you can cure yourself with the cure disease potion if you have'nt turned yet. The quest to cure vamps is long you have to gather ingredients for a witch its really boring. Anyway the count of skingard gives you this quest. But you might have to talk to someone at the imperial city mages guild first to get the count to talk to you about it.
On a different subject do you want to know how to copy the iteams in your inventory? for example you can make infinite arrows, potions, lock picks and so on. If you have something worth a lot you can copy and sell it then you have infinite money.

Read about it here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Vampirism
All that you need to know is that Porphyric Hemophilia is what you need to get rid of. Even a fucking disease spell will kill it.

When you start duping your items and gear the game will become very boring very quickly. This is true but I thought you might still want to know how to do it. It comes in handy if you need some quick cash.

Thanks guys!! i was able to cure myself by praying. I know about duplicating items but i don't do it because of the obvious. Now that that is over with, anyone got cool oblivion stories? Like something funny, weird, or cool that has happened to you? Like for me, while doing the knights of the nine mission, i messed up the recruiting part by asking a guy to join AFTER i finished the final mission. now he follows me EVERYWHERE! It's a bug in the game and you can never get rid of him. (At least i don't think i can get rid of him. I've tried EVERYTHING) he never dies! he is like your personal body guard. the only down side to having him is that he even follows you while you're doing those stealth missions. I was able to distract him long enough to start the mission with out bugging me.

Do you use the special lock pick you get from Nocturn? You have to be level 10. Its a lock pick you can't break.

That's pretty much it, unless you consider beating the shit out of a fish with my fists weird, cool, or funny.

I instigate guild wars by attacking a random person and having the guards chase me then I run into the guild hall and my guild mates protect me. It's pretty funny when they kill a guard and start yelling Murder! There's a murderer nearby! Then you pay your measly fine of 10 gold for punching the random dude and collect on the loot of the 50 or so dead guards inside the guild hall.

Do you remember the fastest and the undead horse in the game?(the one Lucius Lachance gives you when you're doing assassinations for him)Well, I had him/her very long time and once when I was traveling through Cyrodill the horse just disappeared and even fast travel option couldnt help me.I mean that he/she didnt show beside me after teleportation. Then I get really pissed off and uninstaled game with saves.Later I spoke to a friend of mine and he suggested that the horse probably was waiting for me where you first met him/her.FUCK!!! Can you belive that?
The second stupid situation was where I turned into vampire playing my Dunmer thief girl. After embracing the "dark gift" my face was male Dunmer vampire and then I really get pissed off too, after some time I realised that I have to save with it and reload a save to fix it.I really didnt like the way vampires looks like in TES IV.IMHO they looked better in Morrowind. In Oblivion I only wish that eyes only turned and from time to time you could see those white fangs of your character...
