Yes, yes I did, and yes I know this about gaming, but this is obviously not going to encourage discussion, and quite frankly I don't intend to for it too. I feel like bitching because all MW2 discussion I read is about bitching. It's a bitchfest...

Anyway, PC Elitists PISS ME OFF. It's fine if you think PC gaming is the best, but you know what? It's also okay for me to think you are wrong. Personally I can't stand using the mouse and keyboard, especially for FPS.

What bothers me the most is their Elitist prick attitudes. Prime example that is getting on my nerves, is this crap about Modern Warfare 2. Cry me a fuckin' river. XBL and PSN users get screwed all of the time (Team Fortress 2 is a perfect example.) OMG, so you have to play MW2 like console players, wah! Stop acting like it is the biggest injustice you have ever seen in your life.

I know modding is important to the PC gaming community, but you know if you stop acting like assholes people might actually be willing to sympathize. As it stands, most PC gamers who are complaining about MW2 are just getting trolled in return.

No, even as a PC user, I completely agree with you and rather than just a rant this is an important issue. There are countless PC gamers who feel that consoles are "dumbing down" their precious PC titles, despite the fact that game companies are already working their asses off just to please them. As mentioned, console users also get screwed over a lot of times - and do the console users complain? (Well, yes, but not as hard as the PC users.)

As an example of PC user pampering, Mass Effect, of which the UI was COMPLETELY redesigned just for the PC version. And then they're whining about their precious MW2.

(Extra information: I don't play MW2 and don't plan on getting it so I'm not really an expert on the situation.)

the only risk of "turning to shit" is that it will get less replies and I don't think that hurts anyone besides your pride. There is more danger of "shit" while the thread remains in IB; at least here you'll get people's honest opinions.

btw, not sure what the intention of the thread has to do with it, it's still about another subject; If you want to vent go buy a punching bag.

Because I'm willing to bet that even on Fakku there are at least a handful of PC Elitists who are going to have a fit over what I said, which is going to break down whatever civil discussion might occur in this topic, not to say the least that it won't be "intelligent."

But whatever, I'm not going to sit here and argue over whether or not it was a right call to move this.

Haha, no. I fully expected, and to be honest I was kinda hoping it would become overly controversial. That is precisely the reason I posted the topic in IB to begin with. I don't want to be responsible for turning a topic in a normal forum into a mess.

I don't care if the topic was moved I think I made the right decision, but what I think doesn't really count for much. As for whether or not I should have created the topic to begin with, probably not, but whatever. No one is a saint on here. I had been watching a stream of MW2 all night long and I got sick of PC Elitists walking into the chat and bitching about how much the game sucked and I wanted to vent it out on Fakku where I felt comfortable enough to do that without getting my ass chewed out.

Oh well, I think you have won this because I'm going to bed soon and I'm not going to continue this for another day.

Anyways, I'd have to agree with you, personally. Really, I support both console and PC games, give me CoD4 and Resistance and i'll give them both awesome ratings, but as a gamer in Kenya, it makes it really fucking difficult for me to get console games, so lately i've just played PC games, to the point where I can't imagine playind Modern Warfare 2 on anything BUT a PC. However, I put my trust in Infinity Ward to make an awesome game that doesn't need mods. (In any case, if people really want mods, they'll make them, supported or not.) Really, the whole PC versus Console thing is just bullcrap from people who are too lazy to try out all the possibilities, or too dumb to learn how to use a computer, or whatever. I'll personally opt for owning every console and epic game in existence, AND a top of the line gaming computer, because anything less is just sad. I like games, be they good regardless of what you use to play them.

Not everyone has the money to buy or upgrade a computer every year. Those things are expensive. I could buy two consoles plus a bunch of games for the price of one PC. It also doesn't help that even if you buy a new computer, it could become completely obsolete in less than 2 years.

Console gaming is just a lot more affordable for some people.

Or you could buy a Mac, and you won't even need to deal with the hassle of upgrading your system for games! (because there AREN'T ANY*)

* Except for BioShock and Spore. Sarcastic yay.
