Persona 4 Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena

Game is about to drop, and Atlus drops the bomb on us on this one: P4U will NOT be region free on the PS3. Just to make sure you got that,

I originally intended on buying the JPPS3 and NAPS3 versions of this game, now it looks like I'll be stuck with JP360 and NAPS3 versions :V at least I'll be able to play it before NA release...

then probably later on they'll sell on PSN the Japanese voices.

But it's been confirmed to have English and Japanese voices on both versions :V

I do not understand what is so bad about region lock, care to elaborate?

region locking severely limits the import market. I bought a JP 360 to play certain games, but I don't think too many ppl have that kind of money to burn

I assume most people have seen Atlus' explanation for region locking the game, but for those who haven't, it has do with the price of the game. I forget the exact figures, but 40 or 50USD would be around 5.5k yen. Games in japan cost around 7k-9k yen(around 70 or 80USD, I think), so Atlus was concerned that would hurt the game's sells in japan because everyone would save money by importing it. And they've also said this isn't the start of a trend, meaning they aren't planning on region locking other games at this point.

Who do you guys plan on maining?

Mitsuru and Aigis look great so far,but I really can't wait to be able to say "GET BENT!" when playing as Kanji.

I'm gonna go with Aigis and Labrys(?).

Think there will be DLC with other characters?

I really,really wanted some Persona 1 and 2 characters.I mean they had some cool ones,but most people love 3 and 4 too much.I hope they do have DLC though.

Eikichi and Lisa would be great!
I haven't played the first one(can't find it).

I like to see a lot of DLC,like for Shinjiro and Ken.

Though the first one didn't have much as a game it was still fun.I loved the design for the main character,though no personality he looked cool.

I thought all Persona main characters were like 'fill-in-the-blank' personalities?

Pretty much,that's why we decide mostly on looks.Or other forms of media(manga/anime/etc.).Well the main character in the first game did not look like the quiet type at all lol.3 and 4 did though...
