Playing Video Games, Just For Fun
0
It's come to my attention that some people really don't play Video Games Just For Fun, it's become this really competitive and serious thing. Well I'm bringing the fun back, at least in my gaming and started a YouTube Video Series. Check it out :)

I play games for fun purely, if you look at my PSN account you will notice no Platinum Trophies at all lol.
It's hard to enjoy multiplayer though, since there are alot of people trying to ruin your day by either *picking the worst characters or using cheap tactics or lag etc etc*
Now that EU PS Store got Wild Arms 1, i finally have a full Wild Arms collection *all 5* which just begs for a playthrough!

I think it's a great idea man, games are not supposed to be taken to seriously. Unless your in the competetive scene

I used play really competitively and take it very seriously, I would get upset when I lost and made a big deal of it, but in the past year I have started to notice that the less competitive I am, the more fun it is. Dont get me wrong its fun to compete, just not all the time.

Fortunately for myself I enjoy competition, don't care so much about winning or losing just as long as it's a challenge.
Wouldn't say I'm so competitive that it effects my game play though.
Using a non-video game example, I greatly enjoy collectable cards games, however, whenever I build a deck it has to have a theme. Don't care if there could be a more effective combo, if it doesn't fit with the theme, I don't want it.

Mostly it's just Magic: The Gathering, but I've dabbled in a few other ones too. Usually just have a few matches against the family, either free for all or Two-Headed Giant. I don't play competitively either, but it's mostly because I can't find the time.

I enjoyed it :D nice commentary.
Sadly, I don't really show my competitive side much while gaming. But well, still love it.

I never saw y people thought magic was fun, personally I'm a YU-GI-OH guy. Though I don't collect or play anymore.

I agree with one thing you said: people take the game way too seriously.
However, on the line of hacking, there are two definitions.
1. People who use HackForum.
2. People who make their own hacks.
I make hacks for games for one simple reason: I'm sick and tired of people taking the game so seriously. Just like what you said, but to an entirely different level. When people complain about me hacking and bitch and call me a faggot, those are the people I aim at. The game is supposed to be fun, jackasses ruin this for everyone else. I'm not saying I'm not a jackass too, though. I know I am. People hate me for what I do, and sometimes I doubt myself as well. But when I see the jackasses who spoil games for the world bitching and crying, I know that sometimes it takes fire to fight fire. Hacking just gives me fuel to become a bigger fire, in order to engulf the others. Anyone else who can actually make their own cheats to a game are usually have this philosophy too.
However, HackForum users who just use others' hacks because they suck shit deserve to rot in hell.

Cardfight Vanguard is quite a good card games. It is also cheaper compared to Yu-Gi-oh card games. The game is also newcomers friendly.

You have to admit that video games are so popular today because of them spreading out into the world and becoming an unlimited source of money.
The thing is, professionnals that live from gaming are rare, but aspiring professionnals are millions. I used to tink I was good at Warcraft and I got my ass handed to me in less than ten minutes for my seven first games.
What I'm aiming to say, in very intricate and unclear way, is that people dream of becoming pros, just because it is: 1° cool and 2° pretty well paid if you do it right. Some people win thousands of dollars every month because of their sponsors or because they work for a gaming company.
So anyway, I agree that games should be taken lightly and the fun should never be out of sight when playing them, but we all wanted one day to be at the top of that end game list.
Because we all want to feel as though we're actually good at this for once^^.
