I would say Crystal since that was my first and I didn't play any other one besides Ruby. Put a lot of hours into those games! >.

I've always been a huge pokemon fan, and I love all the games for the handhelds. But I guess my favorite one would have to be gold/silver, it had the best music, a lot of content and brought new concepts to the original without making it feel completely foreign. I know the newer gen games get a lot of crap but I still love pokemon black, I consider it a close second.

My faves are Pokemon Gold and Ruby. I put an insane amount of time into these two games. In fact, by the time i left out the store that i bought Pokemon Ruby out of, i had already caught about 4 or 5 Pokemon. Now, i just stopped playing pokemon altogether...maybe its time i started playing it again...

Favorite was Silver after that any that came out I started to not like mostly because I thought there was too many new pokemon. Also with the pokemon in silver and gold I still like the tv series back then but as soon as the new pokemon came out in new games and the tv series I started to really hate it. The thing that bothers me as well is I don't want any of the starter pokemon in the new games.

Pokemon Yellow, because it was back when I could actually remember all 151 Pokemon names and what they look like.
Now all the new ones are weird as shit, with half-ass designs and stupid names.

Pokémon Crystal is my all-time favourite. It lacks in as many puzzles as Red/Blue and Yellow, but it's still a great game.
When I first got the game, animated sprites seem like such a huge thing back then. That and many of the Pokémon from Gold and Silver, including the Legendary Beasts, got updated so they looked more like their original artwork.

i actually like the newer series( mainly heart gold and pokemon white). i do like the oldies and enjoy playing them but i remeber the times i wished pokemon could move the gen 4 did that but just at the beginig and it was a little dry. lol black and white fully extended that and im like yay becuase now it feels slightly more real. the reason why i like heart gold becuase it fuses gold, silver, crystal, red, blue, leaf green and fire red it has all of those game aspects and all there legendaries. it is a really long game.

Crystal Version comes into first, then Emerald. Black was okay, although not much to do after beating the E4 for the 1st time.

Crystal is my favourite, no question. It had the best legendary Pokemon so far and a decent set to compliment the original 151. It had all of the interesting improvements from Gold/Silver series like radio, the two maps, an internal clock with day/night, berries, the new types and breeding, but also new animations, the option to choose a girl and the Battle Tower - without any of the gay contest shit (etc.) from later games.
