Preowned

Lately in Game 80% of the games for sale are preowned & they aren't even cheaper than the new games. I can often find a game that's preowned in an other store new for cheaper than the preowned price. They advertize preowned as being cheaper, but the majority of the games cost £30-45.
is any one else having this problam with other gaming stores?
(I always keep my games I never like to sell them)

The only problem I have is with the ridiculous price exchange for trading in games. I can buy a new game for 60 bucks, return it a week later and they'll only give me 10 in return...then they put it up as pre-owned for 55 or so. The whole pre-owned games operation is racketeering, pure and simple.

With the Game store I go to they sell both New and Used. and they are alwayas cheaper then the new ones. It depends on the popularity, and how long it has been out.To decide how much cheaper it will be. Example of what I mean. With a brand new very popular game (costing $59.99 here in thye U.S.), used copies will be about $57.99. However, if it is not that popular but still new then it will be $54.99 instead.

I haven't been to a game store in quite awhile. I've been ordering from amazon and selling used games on ebay.

a few years ago a new game would for the 360 would cost me about £30-40 & preowned £15-20, but now it's more like £45-60 for new & preowned £40 for a newish game.
like I really wanted to buy a copy of deadrising and the only copy I could find was a preowned copy that was scatched to bits and it costed £20 which I thought was insane because I saw them selling new copies at one point for £15.
What pisses me off the most is the guys in the shop thinking we got a good preowned section that will be competative with the new games. They actualy say it in the shop every now and then.
I miss the old Game where things were cheaper, the staff still had there souls, & the metal musice they used to play in the background.

I don't have a next-generation console, but I do have my trusty PS2, and I've noticed that most (good) used PS2 games aren't worth buying used in a game store. The majority of the good PS2 games are Hits, which drops them down to about $20, and the used versions of those games are only dropped down to $16 or $17. Save two dollars? What a fucking joke.
And I've given up the thought of ever selling any of my games because they'll give me nickels for them. But both of these may be due to the fact that there's almost nothing but Gamestops where I live now. With what is basically a monopoly, they can charge whatever they want and give whatever they want for used games.

is any one else having this problam with other gaming stores? It's all about supply and demand. I remember shortly after Halo 3 came out where a game store had a ton of used copies of it for half price. In my case, though, I usually only look for used games if they've been out for a few years. That's how I got FF10, FF12, Okami (PS2), and Dragon Quest 8 for $10 or less each.

I agree with that's it ridiculous with the prices and I also never sell my games because sometimes I suddenly feel like playing a game I haven't played for a while.

The prices are a little ridiculous, but I don't ever sell my games. I only buy used and it's not that expensive. Only about 30-40 dollars compared to 60 for those games. If it's a new release though, I'll pay the 60 dollars to play them.

I pretty much only trade in games when there's some kinda deal where they're offering more for them than normal. Once I lucked out and they were offering an actually decent rate for used DS games and I bought a new game solely off of that.

The only problem i have is that....before i moved to Finland *from Russia* it was a time of PS2 GC and XBox. Problem is, In Russia there was no such consoles as Nintendo *there was Dendy which was a simple rip off of original Jap Famicom. It didn't had many games* Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64 and Gamecube. When i moved to Finland i've been introduced to a game series called "Legend Of Zelda" *Wind waker was the newest addition at that time. I wasn't really interested in the game at the start but only later on when i brought WII and Twilight Princess. That's when i got extremely interested in the series, but afterwards i came to know that there was much more Nintendo consoles than we had in Russia *only 1 in fact* But since the game have such great popularity.....i usually see them in used game stores having insane prices like 90+ euro. This is very disappointing indeed. Well at least now i buy Zelda games as soon as they come out, but i still want the full collection and all other Nintendo consoles lol.
Came out a pretty big story rofl.

You don't purchase from them. It links you to other sites with the cheapest price.
