Professional gaming Vs. gaming for fun
What kind of gamer are you?

What if you're a casual that likes aiming for completion?
I'm competitive only when playing racing games. If you're not, your gonna lose every game you play. I don't really give a crap about stats that much though. I do like seeing 100% and unlocking everything in my games though.

Well i chose professional but that really depends on the type of game I play. If it's just some fun game, then I would casually play it, but games like FF XIII or Tales of Vesperia, I must strive to complete every single possible thing that is within my power to do so.

I think casual is the wrong word, that's more-so used to describe gamers who only play stuff like Fifa and Need for Speed and such. But yeah, I just play them for fun.

I only play for fun. And thats the reason I seldom get very good at any game, I tend to finish them, then never play them again.
Fighting games is an exclusive. I become really competitive around games like DoA, Street Fighter or SSB.

Those people are considered hardcore gamers now.

I want to do professional gaming. I tried back in the old counterstrike days. Was really fun and all.

Well it´s a mix of both...
When I play games like WarTFT online or using Garena against complete strangers...I love to beat the crap out of them just for the hell of it or when I try (lol, atleast it´s trying) to enter and win some tournaments I´m utterly serious, but still got beaten, and when i´m playing vs my friends it´s just for fun.
But for other games like the ones in my DS are just for fun, if you try to play online some games like fire emblem or Pokémon, they´re full of hackers, so it´s not worth it...

Casual
But at the same time i try to complete it with a high score, so i dont feel Mediocre for paying 60 Bucks for the Game and just playing 4 hours to complete it

Casual. I play games for fun, not to prove how awesome I am. Besides, 100% completion usually involves point whoring, slightly increased difficulty or doing the same mindless shit over and over again, rewarded with gamerpoints and sweet sod all else. I also review games, and so focus on the content and the experience, not to mention the time constraints.
As for competitive gaming...I used to be pretty good at Halo, but playing Gamebattles matches with a team I found it to be full of cunts and not in the least bit enjoyable. The training, pressure and arrogance of people defy the point of playing.

I play games for fun, not in some attempt to prove I'm better than anyone else. Probably because I know there's always going to be someone better than me, due to either more playtime or inherent skill or the ability to do nothing but play one game.
I still like to 100% games, but I'm not going to go crazy if I can't. A couple of weeks ago, I was playing Diddy Kong Racing for the N64 for nostalgia reasons, and I did pretty damn good. "I'll beat the game, like I never could when I was a kid," I told myself. Then I hit a wall; the game got too tough for me. I'm not a big racing person, so I'm not very good at those types of games. Instead of practicing for hours, I stopped playing Diddy Kong Racing and started playing Paper Mario. I'm much happier now than I would have been if I had kept trying to beat that one race.

Mostly, I play for fun, though I'd lie if I said I didn't mind losing. It's the sort of competitiveness you have when playing against friends or buddies: of course you want to win, but it's still just for fun.

Ill play for the story or see what all the hype is about, but ill only get competitive when someone gets me too pumped up, like in Uncharted 2 or Modern Warfare 2. But other than that ill play for the fun and for the storyline.

I strive for a 100% completion, may not get a complete 100%
Some times I think it would be better to be casual becuase some games barely get played completely becuase I try to make my perfect character.
I don't have online play, but if I ever did god help me!
