I don't know about this one.... its dangerously close from being awesome or just a bunch of bs, hopefully not later one.
I will be carefully watching this before buying.

Natal isn't going to work out as well as Microsoft hopes. Really I don't see how they can aspect this to appeal to a wide band of people. First of all in every Natal video you need a shit load of space and to be standing back from it a good bit. With the Wii however you can be 6 inches from the screen and it still works just fine. The Natal Camera has to see your entire body in order to work for some game. All the others it at least needs to see your upper half which also requires you be quite a distance from it. I just don't think that is going to pan out to well when someone jumps to the right and goes through a coffee table.

Heh, my brother told me yesterday: "You're gonna play Tekken for example on this and you will have to wave with hands and legs to perform a punch and after 2 rounds you will be exhausted, then you will sit and take pad into hands"... :-)
So I think old way with pad will do...
Natal is first step to improve gaming comfort.Probably soon enough there's gonna be a helmet that allows you to play as yourself in any game.

As long as we can do FPS with other people I will get it.Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose? You would have to use some sort of controller in order to play a FPS on Natal and Microsoft is pushing Natal as "You are the controller". It defeats the entire purpose of Natal to use any kind of controller with it.

I wanna do the motions for a first person like I wanna walk the guy but also be able to run up to the bad guys and smack them with my gun by swinging my arms or be able to throw the grenade with my own strength not just hold a controler.

now if we can make a massive interactive online world using anime graphics then I would be interested

Building on what's already been said, the reason why the Wii works and this probably won't is that you can be very physically active playing Wii games (as casual/non-gamers tend to be, going along with the advertising/premise), but you can just as easily sit and do very little. Natal looks like forcing you to be fairly active, and so this, the constraints and the hype they've created by demoing it early and on a big stage might work against them. It is amazing technology, but I doubt the serious gamers who are already somewhat alienated by the Wii's 'hybrid' motion-control are going to dish out for it, and I can't see MS going for the casual demographic.

Apparently, according to some game developers, Natal is delayed like shit, and that is making it harder to make certain games for it.
Hopefully MS can fix that before it's release, otherwiseit's gonna suck ass.

The Wii already has the shortest play time of the three consoles and it's not even all that much work to play Wii games. Also that would still involve some type of controller which as I said defeats Natal's purpose.

In my opinion that is not amazing.

That's the thing: "Some kind of controller."
I've been envisioning this for quite a time, but I couldn't figure out how to facilitate movement. Unless the game is on rails, you either need to sell it with a treadmill, or some kind of floor mat just to walk (which could interfere with fantasy games--footwork). (My design solution involveda polyurethane cage to play in, but that still doesn't allow for acrobatics, position change, etc.)
Also, people don't play their wii because there aren't many good games. Boredom happens. (or, I guess, they're lazy shits)
And, yes. I am looking forward to actually shooting people online.

The problem is that Microsoft and Sony decided they'd follow the Wii's lead and implement some motion control in their consoles back when the Wii looked healthy and dominant. Now it's doing poorly, its games sell badly, the head of Nintendo is admitting the future looks bleak for it, and there are rumours of an actual next-gen Nintendo console in development.
The few non-wagglan games that Nintendo boasted about at E3 have come and gone, and barely made an impact, like China Town Wars on the DS and New Super Mario Bros Wii. The GTA game also being released on the PSP. Capcom are saying that their stuff just doesn't sell on the Wii and that it's a pointless market for them. I say this as a person who has a Wii but not a 360 or PS3. The people I know that bought a Wii because of the "innovative" controls, and shit like WiiFit, haven't touched their Wii for over a year in each case.
So by the time Microsoft and Sony bring out their motion controlled stuff, the bubble really will have burst.

Nintendo purposefully did not design a system with competitive specifications. They made a big deal about changing the climate of gaming, and creating a "revolution." I expected this "new" system a month ago.
I just hope they don't drop the wii completely, or continue to give it second hand/second rate copies of other releases. Some developers stepped up to the plate, and created competing (sometimes superior) games.
I think motion controls will be around, but there won't be the same emphasis. Games like Red Steel, which could have used a bit more button pressing will be accommodated. As will those like the latest Super Smash Bros. (I was sorely disappointed you did not control final smashes, like Snake's grenade launcher or Super Sonic, by pointing the remote)
Motion could be used as a gimmick, but it has such capacity to improve the simulation. There should be a movement to improve motion controls, not abolish them over shortcomings.
