PSP games on the PS3

Sony is planning to do the ol’ HD revamp once again, but this time for a series of PSP titles - making them PS3 ready - in something its calling the “PSP Remaster” series. Capcom’s Monster Hunter Portable is first up to get the treatment.Gamers will be treated to new HD visuals, DualShock 3 support, maybe even stereoscopic 3D and “add-on content” with the newly revamped versions, but that of course is dependent on the title.
Sony are also reporting that you’ll even be able to use the same save game file across both versions of the game, allowing you to transfer it from the PS3 to the PSP – and vice versa.
The PSP Remaster series is currently only announced for Japan, but one would find it hard to imagine they’d ignore all the other regions. As soon as we hear about them, you’ll hear.
Could this mean that the long rumoured PSP God of War games coming to PS3 is actually rather believable? Only time will tell.
The biggest faux pas of the initiative though has to be that Sony have opted not to include trophy support for these titles, according to Siliconera, who speculate that the hacking of the PSP could be the reason.
Sorry trophy fans.

No trophies is a big disappointed. It's the game that's important though. Since I don't really care about trophies.

So the ones the have already aced the games on the PSP don't have much extra to draw them in to buying the games again asides HD graphics.

This is actually pretty cool.
I've played quite a few PSP games that seemed like they would be remade.

I want Final Fantasy vii:crisis core and Final Fantasy Dissidia 012 on the ps3Yes! If they do that, imagine how amazing Dissidia would be? In any case, online play would be a lot more active.
Goes for other PSP games with online too. It's reasons like these I am glad I have stuck with Sony for so long!

I side with Kaimax on this, and regardless of whether I aced a game, if I enjoyed it that much I see no reason why to not play it again.
I honestly hate trophies, this whole system really has changed gamers to a degree [though with RPG gamers it not that different Platinum trophy is like when you told your friend you had everyone at max level stats and logged in over 300hours in the game], specifically in terms of the multi-player aspect, I can't count how many times I've been playing a game with a friend only to be killed/eleminated/etc early, and had to wait(in some cases more than I'd like to wait) till he finished the level/mission, for the sake of getting that 1 stupid trophy(because I got out so soon, or some other silly parameter).

Does this mean... Valkyria Chronicles II on PS3, or even III? Please say that's going to happen.Just don't get your hopes too high.
The newest one to be HD'd was Monster Hunter 3rd Portable, and the last one I heard was Hatsune Miku's First Project Diva.
There's no other games that's been HD'd besides those 2, and everything is a hyped assumptions. The News is not an official news, just an assumption of one man.
on the trophy part, Even though I platinum'd a game, it still doesn't give me anything.
FF 13 was nice enough to give out themes. It's really not that important.

On a side note, isn't one of the big selling points of the NGP (new PSP coming out) that it is compatible with PS3 games? So is this simply a look ahead at what's to come? Seems to me they are just testing their costumers' reactions to PSP-PS3 gaming.
Still, hopes high for Dissidia PS3 :3

More of a convenience to me really since my PSP is on the verge of being a door stopper.Unless it has more content or extra content for each of the games which I highly doubt besides HD up scaling etc.

Right. That's how we got that, " The Playstation Store will be back on the 24th of May " prediction.
