Like the topic said, Do you prefer PSP style or PS Vita style?
PSP - normal console etc.
PS VITA - console & motion detector & touch screen
[Edited]
So, sorry Kenayagami
This is a bit different, because some would like the latest Vita but prefers the classic PSP. anyway, if you say its the same, so be it.

I enjoy the psp version better just cause i seem to have more control when its just buttons and stick

I prefer just buttons and a stick, I dont think the motion controls and 2 cameras are necessary, but on the other hand that second analog stick was definitely needed.

I saw someone in my local retialer buy a Vita (bundle package), we were talking about it, and he let me handle it for a bit.
It was glorious.

Have both, bought the first edition bundle, and currently playing psp games in my Vita becouse all of the games for the Vita suck.......can't wait till Gravity Rush or P4 the Golden come out..... eventually -_-

I have both of them and I'd have to say I enjoy my Vita more. I don't really care for the motion controls. I enjoy the touchscreen quite a bit though and yes the second analog stick is pretty handy.

Vita has waaay too many functions a handheld should have, but it does add to the fun though I would have preferred they made a handheld that resembled a Playstation3 controller with a screen in between (Like the WiiU).
Ps Vita was made to be the successor of the PSP so it should be more fun, but asking what's more or less fun is just subjective and relies on opinion.
Ps Vita > PSP, IMO I just hope they port Monster hunter 3

After the initial oohs and ahs the Vita's starting to look pretty flat for me. The available games for the Vita aren't really my thing and most of the better games are Japanese (I don't have the money to import my games all the time) and the Western developers don't really give a shit about the handhelds as of now.
For now I'm going to sit back and watch if the Vita gets better games within a year, but otherwise I'd be better off without a Vita. The PSP's library isn't pretty and there aren't any game shops that sell PSP stuff anymore where I live.

Exactly the same thing i was thinking when I was contemplating on buying it or not. Or just opt for the PSP.

Sony is doing a terrible job with its handhelds. The Vita only has about 25-35 games available right now and some of them have to be imported. It's been quite a while since the Vita's launch and yet there's almost nothing announced to be heading to the Vita. The console itself costs more than a 160GB PS3 and the games are just... bland. Not to mention that the games are overpriced as well.
IMO, the Vita will be another failure from Sony. The PSP's few saving graces were from Japan (Monster Hunter), and Western developers hardly cared about the handhelds. The two GoW games did generate interest in the platform but that's it. The Vita is already in trouble right now.

HA. 25 games to this point. So did the five other handhelds at this time. GBA wasn't sell too good in japan at the time either. Psp was better because of monster hunter... nope.. it was one of the most shit game i ever played. 3ds did better after the price drops. Comparing the price for a vita and a ps3 isn't fair since ps3 5 month later it released was 399$ then two year later 299, now third year in 249$ vs 249$ or a 317,000 yen for the vita 1001. Gen 1 ps3 failed half then gen 1 360, except your fucked because you had to buy extended warranties to repairs. Microsoft fixed all 360 even after the warranty expire the next year. Shit if you bought a xbox to ps3 5 months later you had 25 to 35 games. Welcome to life. Never buy shit until you have shit to play or until the bugs are fixed. Only diehards and fanboys buy the first console. I only got the Japanese vita because i wanted to play blazblue extend and it wasn't good. Plus i needed the source codes and kernal info.

I can't see it being much more than a gimmick.. like the 3d and the kinect... But, it may be a little more usable than kinect and 3d... I'd honestly prefer a normal psp.. less complicated. plus it's cheaper. :>

And since animefreak_usa said it wasnt any good.....well.

Well versus the arcade or console versions then yeah. It's the same thing with psp's cs2 and ct. The controls are not awesome. Now if you get that vita stick controller then fuck.. i would buy it just for blazblue alone.. also playing nes game on the vita isn't half bad.
Im lucky to have the japanese arcade game at work. God bless the student union and there weebs.
