Question about the PS3 hard drive?
0
Has anyone ever ran out of space on their PS3 hard drive? If so, what do you do to remedy this? I was thinking on getting another hard drive, but I don't from where I see, no one is selling them. I'm guessing I would have to go to the Playstation site for that one.
Can anyone help?

You could uninstall some games you don't play any more or very often. The saves will stick around if you ever do decide to play them again.
If it's other types of files, just put them on an external HD.

Any 2.5" SATA 9.5mm height drive will work. Western Digital 500GB Scorpio Blue seems to be the standard.

Wait... So you're saying I have to delete the games' saves (the ones I don't hardly play anymore). I mean, I don't really understand because this is the first time I had to contend with this.

You can keep the saves, because they have a smaller size. You can reinstall the games you deleted by redownloading them from the store.

-If you downloaded/bought them from PSN, you're safe to delete it. Whenever you want to play again you can just redownload it again.
-For installed date, just delete the ones that you don't play anymore. Same as DLC data, if you bought them you can redownload them again.
