I tried playing WoW a few times. Even played on my friends high level characters. I hated it. Seriously. Don't ask me why, I just do. Good thing too I guess.

It's funny how I got into WoW, actually. I had friends that were playing it. I was bored one day, with a friend, and we saw that both Eve and WoW had free trials. I started playing Eve while WoW was still downloading. I was just starting to get into it, the WoW install finished, I switched to that, and never logged into Eve again.

I only played WoW for an hour before getting bored and deleting the whole game. I find it hard to understand people who are addicted to Wow.

I literally fell asleep playing that game. The only MMORPG I find good is Mabinogi and AION.

Yep, grinding is boring and quests are just repetitive (like the get me this or kill # of these). Now if only EVE was free..

I just must be a masochist when it comes to gaming. It really doesn't take a lot to please me. Back during the level 60 days, I'd spend hours a day doing nothing but farming herbs, and with some good music and the forums in between routes, I enjoyed it. :<

It's not that I don't like RPGs. I played Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and now playing Dragon Age: Origins. I beat Dragon Quest VIII, Final Fantasy 4 and 7 and Chrono Trigger. I even used to play the free MMORPGs like Runescape and Conquer Online. But I absolutely HATE WoW. I think it's generally because of the grinding. I cannot spend hours upon hours just trying to level up my character and getting gear.

Guys, it even says so in the tips during loading: "Take your friends to Azeroth, but don't forget to take them outside Azeroth to."
Anyone with half a brain would know it means you should play with self restraint. If you ain't got that, your problem.
I am a vivid player, currently busy getting my 2nd 80 to full gear, guess what though... I don't play more than 7 hours a week.
SELF RESTRAINT, it's the fcking magical words you mass followers seem to forget the moment WoW comes up.

I just canceled my subscription today, and am in the process of trying to write a 5 page paper (word count is zero.)
I'm starting to think that this is more of a "fear of working" thing that I'm trying to blame on WoW.
I'm still quitting, though.

wow is soo totally evil, my friend is trying to keep me in that addiction since he likes having me play with him... yet his game time is from 4pm-12am every night. I personally find the game as entertaining as running a nail through my hand repeatedly... and i am now on my third time quitting the game (i like making REAL money!)
the easiest way i find to quit is to play some other random free mmorpg, like sword of the new world or valkyrie sky, and just play that till your account runs out... and skip renewing it or adding more time.

I was basicly hooked on MMORPGs at my school years, not a loyal MMORPG as I tend to juggle around different MMORPGs and WoW was one of them too.
Sadly, my country internet is the sux so I cant do much shit about it, this cause occasional fustration and makes it easier for me to quit any MMORPGs. I get more satisfaction on novels, console games and animes...that...dont...lag.
