the easiest way i find to quit is to play some other random free mmorpg, like sword of the new world or valkyrie sky, and just play that till your account runs out... and skip renewing it or adding more time.So your cure to stop playing WoW is to play some other MMORPG? How is that any diffrent?
Simple, its not WoW :P

DO NOT GO BACK TO PLAYING.WoW sucks time that you could be using to better your life. I've played. Trust me.
Just find other things to do. Even when you want to just play for a little bit, don't. Quit cold turkey. DO IT BITCH. PM me if you're finding it really hard to try and do other things.
Agreed. Its easy to just up and quit although I still play once in a while rofl.

If that indeed is the reasoning then it's retarded.
Oh hai gaiz! Im gunna quit sitting in front of my computer and playing WoW all day so that i haz more time to do other useful things in life, like sitting in front of my computer and plaing something else!
If you're gonna sit all day in front of your computer anyway you might as well play what you enjoy.

I feel that having a bad internet connection can motivate people to stop playing MMORPGs.

Don't ... Just don't go play cheesy chinese or korean mmorpgs... I've seen more than any of you will ever and it has been horrible, the one crappy martial arts game after the other magic gamer after the so called "perfect world" games... Which are, btw, made out of crap in every way, WoW looks better.
If you really need something, don't play random mmorpgs, just do drugs*... It's better. >.<

well i think the subject is how to quit WoW not how to quit MMORPGs, if playing another MMORPG helps you do that, then go for it.

well part of my reasoning was that, cause one thing i notice is that since you pay for wow, of course the mindset will be to play it as much as possible to get your moneys worth. this way you switch to something thats free which would only hold your interest for so long, then you eventually stop (kinda in the same way i went about to quit smoking). i havent played any mmorpg's for about 3 months now and have no more interest to whatsoever, especially with MW2 out...

I quit wow after I level my main to 70, then wait for the new expansion, planning on doing that with Cataclysm
