Rance 8

Alicesoft's big project they'll be working on for 2011. From what I've read around, this is going to be TADA's last project as part of Alicesoft then he's gone, which has led to some speculation that this is going to be the end of the series.

Didnt really look around that much, but i culdn't find any Rance 8 news on the site at all.

Yes to both.

I'm guessing that the shied-and-sword gal is Rance's new adventure "companion" (If-you-know-what-I-mean).

Rance always continues existing stories, even the ones not related to the current story.

Just look at :
-Maria
-Shizuka
-Kanami
-Uruza
-Rizna

even the sub-story of Ogawa Kentarou and Kurusu Miki
Even till the point that it crosses through different games :
-Rance appeared in Toushin Toushi 3, and entered the tournament, but was disqualified when he started to "assault" a female opponent.
-Ogawa Kentarou has also appeared in in Toushin Toushi 2


So yes you'll probably see a closure for "that" story, rather than a "completely" new one, That abandons Sill completely. the new Loli girl is probably the main girl for Rance 8, which will help Rance with Sill's predicament.

Seeing the previous game's end, somehow I think the companion role will actually go to Suzume.

Looks like the new girl is another "From another dimension girl" which is likely from Japan, seeing that she wears "Normal" clothes.

I was thinking Prima as well when I examined the pic. Don't remember anyone with orange hair though, maybe a new character.

Wonder if Prima's inclusion indicates a chunk of Ice Flame is going to form the early party?

Miscgamer is reporting that Rance 9 is in planning. Maybe 8 won't be the end after all (still need to wait and see what happens after Tada leaves).

Yea I'm worried about TADA leaving too. He was in the credits for rance 6 about 3-4 times and he also has a hand in most alicesoft games. The future alicesoft games may lose something once he leaves.

If there is Rance 9, I want Voice acting, and I want them to finish the storyline regarding the demon lord plot.

I doubt this will happen.
