I couldn't believe it when I saw this topic. I guess from images this game will be more Rpg then RPG warfare, not that I'm to fond of it but it should be a very good game after all.
As for playing the game well I like playing while understanding the story behind the plot and as i dont know "squat" about japanese I will have to wait till the translation patch.
Question: Will Fakku provide the game download??

Yea... don't count on it anytime soon... or in the foreseeable future... or maybe not in this lifetime... no promises (It might get done from beyond the grave though).

Ok so... Update!
We are planning on just translating the images and none of the text. Don't know when it will be done so don't ask.

Reposting this here too.
From the official Alicesoft site.
Basically Rance Quest will be getting a DLC in the form of ver1.6 which will be released in the near future. It won't be free, for less than 3000 yen, but will include 30 new CG with additional scenario and modifications done to the game mechanics. There will also be a ver1.2 before 1.6 is released too.
Anyways having completed the game, all I have to say is: Don't compare this to Sengoku. Sengoku was never a good representation of the Rance series anyways. It's vastly different in terms of gameplay and pales slightly in the story department.
Don't get me wrong though, manly tears were shed in the playthrough specially at the scene where
But most characters felt underdeveloped and returning characters were given way too little screentime. So little that many didn't even get a CG for their H-scene and were treated as generics (poor Rizna) except a few such as Kenshin, Magic and Lia. Even new characters become part of the background at some point after their initial H-scene. Crook and Aegis were probably the only ones who had any significant impact on the main storyline and the entire story felt weirdly paced due to the quest system which messes up storytelling. Hope patch 1.6 makes up for this part of the game.
All in all if you're looking for another Sengoku, prepare to be disappointed. It's a fun RPG to play but storywise, it felt like a bridge between Sengoku and the upcoming Helman arc. Expect lots of comedy with Rance and his merry crew (Lissete <3) but not exhilarating moments that were frequent in Sengoku.
PS. Just to make sure people don't get me wrong, Rance Quest is a good game and definitely worth the money if you plan to buy it but its just that Sengoku Rance set the bar wayyyyyyyy up there that Quest will probably never reach it.

Lol. I have an inherent hatred for dungeon crawlers but have always played the Rance series (AGH RANCE 6. SO GOOD YET SO TORTUROUS). Rance Quest failed to attract my attention though, I mean, it was okay and pretty fast-paced... Never mind that the level-35-only-can-fuck rule was a CRAZY letdown, so bad that I totally lost interest when I clicked to a scene where Suzume used a ritual to help Rance 'explode' like a volcano... What the fuck are you fucking serious? >_>

And lvl35 is piss easy to reach so I don't see what you're going on about.
Also from what I gather after reading your comment, its obvious that any VN will be less enjoyable when you can't read the language. So my advice for you would be to wait for a translation or get better with the language or you're just going to be spoiling the fun for yourself.

Er. Dude. I dunno from what you're gathering, but I can read Japanese well enough. And the problem with the rule is that before level 35, most of Rance's sex scenes consists of him molesting people, which was a downgrade from what he used to do and what I expected from the series. Never mind that I hate to level up a character oh-so-hard to a certain level and then BAM! one CG trade for a level reset, despite the added bonus. Plus the save system... Everything was designed to make you grind, and grind, and grind, and grind.

simple solution is not to expect anything specific from a game if you don't have any concrete reasons to believe that it will turn out *some way* (like developer blog kinda stuff)
personally, the game was able to fit within my schedule pretty well (mission based + grinding runs), so i actually played quite a bit
also, your arguments would probably be more valid + convincing if you had hinted at least in some way that you didn't just randomclicked through. that suzume scene was 訳ã‚り and is as close as you can get to (filler) ero without disrupting the plot (the curse) and the power balance within the world (amount of lvl 35 people around)

On growth weapons, every 100% will increase the stats of your weapon/armor by a bit with 1000% being the max. It's added directly to the stats already on the weapon so you wouldn't know unless if you remember the base stats. Amount of growth probably depends on the rank of the equipment. (Example: CC armor gain 50def/magic def at 1000% while AA gains 200) As far as I know growth only affects Dmg, Magic Dmg, Def, Magic def, and HP.
chaosbreak said it for me, it sounded as if you just zoomed through all the text without picking anything up. Though I will say there is plenty of raep later on in the game where Rance sets off on a journey to look for girls over lvl35 if that's your thing.
Also I will say this once more. There is NO need to have sex with anyone beyond those required by the storyline to clear the game.(First round through at least) Heck there isn't even any CG for those that are not in the quest log.
Grinding to 35 is not really that big of a problem since there's a map designed specifically for that purpose apart from just game progression. You can use the Happiness rabbits for anything beyond 35.
All in all finish the game first before passing judgement and in this case wait for patch 1.6. 30 CG addition to a game with around 90 CG is going to be a pretty big change along with a promise to make grinding easier to boot.

Needed the added CG. I just unlocked them using a complete save file, and I was very glad I didn't grind through...
EDIT: I go through every single quest since that's how I roll whenever they're unlocked with the exception of high level dungeons. I did not randomly click through events.
