RPG help

Hello all. I'm looking for some new RPG/JRPGs to play, and I'm really big on story, so that's a huge factor. I've played most major titles in this area(which I will list).
Here are the games I've already played:

Play any Shin Megami Tensei game. Aim for Persona 3 or Persona 4.

what system? PC? Any system? Play Xenogears, also Planescape: Torment.

Judging from ^those^ games I can suppose that you have a 360 deffinitely annd a PS3 maybe but no Wii. In any case yes both Persona 3 and 4 are awesome games.

If you get games through online then getting the games would be easy.

If you get a Wii (which I doubt) play both Tales of Symphonia.
Star Ocean 3 is great too.

For new games you've played the ones I would have recomended. But I'll add 'Resonaance Of Fate'

tsuyoshiro: PS3,360,DS,PSP,PC, and I kinda leaning towards newer games so Xenogears is kinda out of the question.As for Torment, I'll check it out.

windknight: I've been looking at Resonance of Fate, but I'm very undecided. It seems cool, but the fact that the story isn't really on a grand scale, but broken down into smaller stories kinda turns me off. As for the Wii, I got rid of mine a while ago.

I don't care what you have to say play Xenogears. Torment is also damn awesome. I'm wondering why you haven't played Disgaea 3.

Well, if you say it's that good I'll have to try it out. As for Disgaea 3, I haven't beaten 2 yet, so I'm gonna finish it before I start 3.

Bayonetta's a western RPG? I think not... Same creators as DMC

Try White Knight Chronicles, its online gameplay is good but I don't give it much points for its story.

Valkyria Chronicles- I think I need not to mention how great this game is because pretty much everyone can testify to that.

Agarest Generations of War- a visual novel game for the ps3. We all know visual novels are great so let's not talk about it further.

Yup, Valkyria chronicles had a great story, i started the game... and finished the story through the anime lol.

If your a hardcore JRpg fan you might like. Also like to point out that i've pretty much liked anything Gust has put out xD, but i'm a total Anime game nerd so.

I loved Valkyria Chronicles as an anime, but I didn't like the gameplay style. I wanted to try White Knight Chronicles but it got really bad reviews, did any of you have any problems with it? IvIajoi2n, thanks for that list. I have been trying for ever to play Xenosaga, I have just never gotten around to it.

White Knight Chronicles is a decent game, the story and gameplay aren't anything revolutionary but i've played far worse games. Worth a rent, don't know if it's worth a buy.

You missed some of the new gen jrpg. Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey comes to mind.

If you don't mind somewhat older games, add at least Baldur's Gate II to your collection of BioWare games. Always a classic, and definitely big on story.

Well, Valkyria Chronicles' gameplay is revolutionary but ambituous at the same time. It tried combining FPS with turn based system and honestly it's a good idea. It's just that it needs more polishing before it's considered great. However I give VC a lot of points for artwork and story.

As for White Knight Chronicles it feels like a yoyo in my experience with me being the yoyo. I would always feel good about the game's nice artwork but the game would always disappoint me swinging me vertically down in a vertigo with its bad story telling. The game allowed me to make an avatar, my own character so to speak, but I, the player character, am not the maincharacter in the story and that just feels awkward in my side. I don't even appear in the cinematics which will make it obvious that I'm not even in the plot. After falling so much in despair of this bad feature the game pulls me up again with its online gimmick where I can do quests with my friends and strangers only to be hurled down again by ingame bugs such as enemies suddenly appearing infront of me because of the lag, or seeing my teammates kill monsters that dont exist on my screen.

But even with White Knight Chronicles' being rocky and annoying I'm glad to say I enjoyed it. Sure I might kick the gameplay designer in the balls if I ever meet him but this game was worth my money. The story alone was entertaining and playing quests with my friends was enjoyable and I'm looking forward for its sequel.

Dungeon Siege 2 wasn't too bad.
And Torchlight (based on Diablo II - same makers)
