Should I start playing on PC?

I have been playing a Playstation 3 for quite some time now. I have played online and have enjoyed it a lot, but I've seen all these guys play on PC. With all their mods and features and games, I've been wondering if I should go onto Steam and train myself to work the keyboard.

For me it depends on the game. I don't play shooters much but the only one I play on PC is Team Fortress 2 because it constantly gets patched every few weeks or so. At least try it and see if you like it.

For me, the Skyrim mods alone make me say that it's worth it. Also the incredible backwards compatibility is a plus too, I love playing older computer games like Daggerfall and Marathon.

Yes you should try it at least once. It is great. The graphics are better and games run at higher fps depending on your computer. What harm is it to try it out?

Its a different gaming experience entirely.
But there are some pluses and some minuses to playing on PC.
On the plus side, your playing on a platform that will give you tremendous amount of control over the games you play, should it be modding, or the style of games also: I know you can play RTS on consoles, but damn, it was made for PC.
On the downside, you'll be playing on a computer that is still running on a 64, if not 32 bits basis. Consoles generally are 128 bits based, making them twice as powerful when it comes to rendering graphics, maps, actions, simultanous characters on one battlefield, etcera.
Being a PC gamer from the core of my being, I can only recommend to you to try it out. But it is an investment if you want to play on the high graphics of newly made games.

Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim all have so many great mods out for the PC version. You can do a lot of the PC you can't do on other platforms.
Emulators on the PC are what got me into retro gaming and convinced me to take my brother's old NES/SNES out of storage... Daggerfall is like the biggest Elder Scrolls game in the series, so huge it puts all of them to shame! @_@
