Skyrim: Stormcloak or Imperial?

So, I was wondering which side you all would have chosen? Personally, I have mixed fealings.
At first, I wanted to join the Stormcloaks, because I thought their cause was justified. That is until I found a book in the Thalmor Embasy that said that Ulfric was an asset, where he perposly started the war for weakening the Empire, which is what the Thalmor want.
I could be wrong with how I defined asset, but I'm still curiouse to see what you all think.

i went stormcloak the first time i played thru until i started reading all the responses like elisif and the other jarls that were imperial friendly said to me which made me feel bad, so i restarted and now i chose the empire, i also think ulfrics cause is right, just the way he went about it was wrong. i think if both ulfric, and tullius joined forces they could seriously knock the thalmor down a peg or two...

Storm cloak, imperials can kiss my ass, they were okay in oblivion, but in skyrim, they were fascist turned dogs who looked toward the thalmor when SHIT GOT REAL

Honestly, I didn't give two shits about either side. Bethesda games tend to lack any kind of emotional depth.

Ulfric was racist. Believed Nords to be superior. Look at the city he ruled over (Windhelm? It's been a while): Dark elves discriminated against, and Argonians are not even allowed within the walls.

Pretty much, eevery race has stereotypes against other species, like the Kahjit(not sure if I spelled that right), they are considered to be nothing but thieves and such, but that's only a minority who actualy do so.

Yeah, but even though they are technically allied, I didn't consider the Thalmor part of the Legion. I don't think either side of this alliance even truly trusted one another, as far as I remember. Once again, haven't played it in a while.

I picked storm cloak at first but then I discovered that I hated ulfric so in the next game I played for the imperials and then found out that they were pricks too so went with myself at the end

I was indifferent. I chose the stormcloacks at first because I hated the idea of the "empire" trying to abolish Talos as one of the Nine Divines. Then I did the Empire to see what it was like, which both end pretty much the same in my opinion since the thalmor play both sides and win anyways.

i chose imperials. and i was an imperial. Ulfric shouldve asked the high king for help. i'm pretty sure he'd have listened.

Empire, because on the contrary of Ulfric, they have a freaking continent behind them and know a few things about keeping peace. Sure they almost got their asses handed to them by the Thalmor, but they still are the most powerful force out there. Also, they look like romans, so hell yes. The Roman Empire rules over half of europe for over three centuries. Sure it was decadent in the end, but it sure got peace to Europe.
And afterall, its just an opinion.

In my first saved data I joined the imperials, but my files got corrupted so I joined the storm cloaks and betrayed them by giving the horned crown to the empire.
