Yeah mitsu's BE is insane. i think it even OTGs!!!! it's just too nifty but xiba's lows are really annoying, specifically the throw ones...
natsu's purple explosion is slow, but in the hands of someone who even remotely knows their stuff, it's figgin annoying. the fact that you can combo it into that damn air-throw for MASSIVE damage...yeah it ain't slow enough.
Yea, their are multiple ways to combo into Natsu's air throw. I just have not met a Natsu doing that yet. Also for Xiba Low throws. You can escape them like a grab. I just need more practice escaping throws overall -.-

actually you can low block xiba's low throws, i'm saying that it makes his mixup game to powerful.

True, so very true.

Soul Calibur V honestly feels like one GIANT step BACKWARD from SCIV to me.
Reasons why:
-Customization: Albeit, you can really fine tune your colours and placement of certain items, yes... however, where are the large amounts of unlocks? Why is only 60% of the armour and clothes we saw in SCIV in this game and nothing else? The amount of equipment to wear overall feels very limited compared to earlier games. (I have actually unlocked everything for the CAS, so saying I haven't gotten very far is wrong. :P)
-The game lacks modes: What I mean by this is, there's nothing like the modes SCII and SCIII had that were purely adventure modes. In SCII that Lost Sword mode (or whatever it was called, where you had to travel from place to place as any character you wanted, unlocking stuff by fighting through and beating certain characters) was so much more rewarding than even the Tower of Lost Souls in SCIV. Having "Legendary Souls" mode in there for something to challenge players (rather unfairly unless you're a GOD at the game.) isn't really a proper substitute for a mode offered in previous titles. There's a significant lack of some other modes too. 6 Fights in Arcade rather than the standard 8-10 fights?
Story: Story has no real relevance to me and didn't keep me interested at all. The lack of animated cutscenes (the ones that were there were VERY well done, I might say so myself.) really jars the experience. The sepia coloured storyboard stuff is also very jarring. Especially the voice acting in each of those scenes.
Along with the story itself, why do we only play as like... 4 different characters? Why couldn't we play as more than just Pyrrah, Patroklos, Z.W.E.I and whoever else? Also, why do the characters in the Arcade modes NOT have their own story? I just went through 6 fights with Yoshimitsu to see what? Nothing? "Congratulations you beat 6 people. What? Go home now." Lame.
The game's fighting mechanics are fun though, once you master them. (As with any game, really. XD) To be honest though, the game's decent for what it offers, but it really could have been so much more than what we got. Here's hoping for SCVI, they'll pick up what they brought into SCV and improve it on TOP of the stuff in SCIII. THAT would be an epic game.
Wow. I didn't intend to write a review of this game here, but... ah what the hell. It's late. My creative mind gets activated at night. XD

Anyone going to Evo 2012 this year?
I signed up for this game. Excited.
Also, the link goes to the thread about Evo 2012. I'd like to know who's going, this way, we could meet up. :D

I really wish I could've seen pools. Considering how bad the French dominated MLG, it was very surprising not to see them make it into top 8.
The match with SU vs Shining Decapon was pretty painful to watch though. SU had the whole, "I have no fucking idea what to do against this" look after a few rounds.
