Soul Calibur 5

Quite a bit of it feels fresh, but a lot of it feels stale like the joke of a story they gave it :( that and im pissed that all 3 of my characters are GONE! >;( With no replacements or stand ins! Cassandra (no the twins dont count or cut it), Talim, or rock (no Astaroth is different, and would have been nice to see bangoo maybe) but we'll see how the game unfolds. I like how challenging the ai is now, its better than it was previously in the last 3 games at least. I could seriously take on edge-master arcade in 3 with little trouble till the last two fights, and only the last 10 floors of the tower of 4 gave me any real issues

Me and a couple friends are looking for people to play, train, and trade notes with on certain characters and to try and get better if not competitive at SCV, im going to be reactivating my xbox live again most likely and he plays on ps3, hit me or futanari up if interested xD

I actually liked the story very much. It fit nicely and worked on a lot of levels. Where it failed, however, was giving the other characters their own stories. It's one thing to have a main arcing story with a new protagonist, but it's another to leave out certain characters from it, or just give them cameos.
Where the hell was Raphael? Or Cervantes? And where did the three newbies and Maxi get to? Where did Ivy go after helping Patty out with Soul Calibur? Where in the FUCK was Hilde?! She's the damn leader of the Zwaewhatever!

I know some things are just a part of sequel baiting, like
Is Nightmare really dead?
What happened to Z.W.E.I? I kinda liked him.
Is Astoroth really dead?
Is friggin' Voldo really dead? ...Finally?
Where did Tira get to?

But some questions really should've been answered.

Still, good game. Fun. Good story, too, despite it being riddled with questions as to the peripheral characters.

Just like every fighting game, people have to be cheap. Apparently playing fair and losing is just unacceptable. I'd rather have fun losing than win like a bitch.
I'm never going to get the achievement for winning 10 ranked matches with Ezio.

They should make an in-game avoiding system where, if your opponent is playing like a little bitch, you can tag them as such. If they get too many tags, the company managing the online will review and give him like a permanent handicap or something if they are indeed playing as bitches.

If anyone wants to play on XBL, send me an invite. I'm not very good, but I have random moments of pure awesome followed instantly by something stupid. Which, I have been told, is super fun to watch lol.

Losing? Heck, some of my friends even if they are the one getting raped, seems to be having more fun than the winner (Misao vs Kagami syndrome).
That's why I try to avoid playing online in fighting games.

Not to really boast or anything, but I feel proud of myself being at least on the top 20 Players for SC5 via Tournament on XBL. Also checked that I'm also the only Leixia player on the the top 20 list. :D

I had a friend basically rant about SC5. When it comes to fighting games I take what he says with a grain of salt. I thought I'd ask her since I trust everyones opinion here more than his.

I really like this game. I played 2 alot, it was my first Soul Caliber game. 3 was ok, didnt play much. 4 was kinda the same, never bought it, only rented. In 5, I will try to get serious with this game and start learning combos and such. The characters I want to be good at is
Viola-unique fighting style and well she pretty and interesting
Ezio-Love Assassin Creed
Patrokols-I use a custom soul, a female, I like it better that way
Devil Jin- Its fun, fast and lasers
Kilik- that is if I can unlock him, I cant beat him. I mained him in SCII

Should probably mention to you that Kilik is a mimic character (one out of three) in this game. So, you're probably gonna have to pick up on his replacement, Xiba, instead.

what was the point of having 3 mimic characters?

To be more specific:
Kilik mimics all the male characters.
Elysium mimics all the females.
Edge Master mimics everyone.

I don't agree with this though. I think they skimped out on the characters in this game.

Indeed, having Mimic characters is no fun. Having their own style would be better. I would love to see Edge Masters own style. Then again, Kilik would then be a clone of Xiba if they kept their own style of fighting. Or Xiba is a clone of Kilik.

Most characters in SCV are clones. Pyrrha is Cassandra, (alpha) Patroklos is Setsuka, Natsu is Taki, Leixia is Xianghua, Xiba is Kilik, etc. Like I said before, the characters got skimped on in SCV.

Oh right, I forgot about those. I was focusing on Kilik and Xiba only, to me, he stood out the most because well, I played Kilik the most of those.
