Picking up Viola. As of right now, I have a 20/7 win/loss ratio with her online, even though I've been trying her out online last night.

I agree. I have 35 hours invested in SCV and I'm only level 55. I believe it goes to level 100.
But, if you really wanna level fast, the easiest way I've found is to play Arcade (Standard on Easy) with your best character. You'll get about 100-114(depending on perfects, ring outs, critical finishes, etc) and after you finish it(6 matches) you get a 200 point bonus.

Apparently, people would rather bitch at you/boot you from lobbies rather than learn how to play the damn game. I've had people not only complain that I use too many holds (I'd say about 4 times per match, on average) but I also had one guy whining about me blocking too much. WTF?.

Ive played the hell out of SC5 since Ive been a fan since SC2 on Ps2. Hell I still have my original copy that came with that demo disc. I still have 3 as well~ But still even if they were trying to keep more of the characters "original" with their fighting styles, Talim and Yun Seong were fucking original! It pisses me off that they are not in there. My two favorite characters :| but Ive developed a love for Mitsurugi so Im coping for now. The creation is amazing, so Ill give them props for that. Though wtf with those high level NPCs in quick battle. I mean fucking hell, they will spam the shit out of you. Tbh the greatest thing that SC5 offers is that it has a lot of ways to make you better as a player. With all the quick battles and then the arcade routs and Legendary Souls. I can only get up to Cervantes on there...I probably should go back to it since Im better now. -sigh- I want Talim and Yun Seong but fuck if they come in DLC I dont want to pay for characters that should have been included :| Also Dampierre...Y U TROLL ME SO MUCH!? ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

Im so mixed on whether or not to buy this game Im sort of lost in limbo.

On one hand, they pretty much axed EVERYONE that I love & used up til now(Talim is gone? WTF? Seong Mina too? YOU FUCKING BASTARDS she was my main! Zasalamel? Wtf hes immortal what did he decide to take a vacation in another dimension for a few thousand years? Also Amy? They took away my vamp pettanko but kept mister phaildracula?)while also keeping people who normally shouldnt logically be around anymore(Like Cervantes, for example. Im pretty sure in SCIV that guy basically should have faded into nothingness given his lack of SE shards.)

On another hand, the new faggots seem to be mostly imported copies of my beloved characters with some upgrades consistent with new SC games. Beyond that, it also seems to have a pretty acceptable C creation system & not bullshit online play this time around.(not counting the faggots who play the game & bitch over every little thing thats BUILT into the games system to be used at convenience.)

On the other hand the story of SC has always been pretty important to me, & this uncalled for timeskip+people I loved from the series suddenly popping out of the picture deeply disturbs me. Not only has SC had the record of only making the canon story of the previous SC known in its sequel, the only way to find out said story is to use the fucking character & read what happened to them. So if the characters in question are gone, HOW THE FUCK can you do that? That along with these combo list copy replacements & the 17 year timeskip into the future, along with some new wimpy knightmare as opposed to the God Im used to(fanlove talking) this all just screams REBOOT for no fucking reason. (DmC anybody?)

I could go on but this has already turned into tl;dr material so Im done. Rant over someone gimme some news on this game. Preferrably someone whos actually played it.

Think of the game modes! Can someone please think of the forgotten game modes?! Another fan that I talked to said that he didn't miss them but that's where I like to interject. The game modes add more stuff to do in turn adds replay value. A more detailed character creation and some online tweaks isn't enough for me to buy this game.

Also I find it weird that younger characters (Talim, Yun seoung) get the axe while older characters (Ivy, Mitsurugi) don't. Someone told me that they combined Kilik and Mina's moveset but it just doesn't feel the same without her.

If anything I'll wait for a price drop or just not get the game at all because it just doesn't seem promising. But I haven't played it.

This one doesn't need game modes, there is always little replay value in them, if anything fighting games are about online capabilities now days, creation adds color to that as well.

I now understand how people feel about the characters that aren't there(Poor Xianghua went crazy, and did not get with faggot ass kilik). The game plays smooth, I'm content with Leixia and her style.

-Fighting Styles don't return (Talim, Yung Seong, Zasalamel)
-Story mode is 20 Fights with 3 characters. Nothing else
-No in-depth background story for new characters nor is there a Character Profile mode. Plus SC4 had a relationship diagram that I liked.
-NO. UNLOCKABLE. WEAPONS.
-Still no occupations from 3 (Dancer, Pirate, Barbarian etc.)

...Dont buy it. I bought it cause I had like no self control but....just dont. Nothing makes any fucking sense & the story made me want to kill anything alive nearby with its holes so obvious it felt intentional. Beyond awesome gameplay there is NO fucking reason to buy this game. Even the sweet character creation is built up so that you only get cool shit if you spend time getting better & better in the game/online spamming ppl who arent as good as you are. And unlike SC3 you dont get any CC storyline OR any kind of choice on what gear you get when. It also appears all the cool weapon effects are fucking gone & everything is left feeling a bit incomplete imo. I swear to god if I hear ANYTHING about a SUPER SCV Im going to slit someones throat with a sharp chewed table leg.



EDIT: Also, Maxi is still around & hasnt aged a day for some fucking reason, & Kilik is now Edgemaster but Edgemaster is still around. And for some reason Algol is still around too but his style is still unable to be used for created characters. Shits all fucked up. I dont even wanna get started on the COMPLETE absence of individual storylines/A FUCKING EXPLANATION FOR HALF THE CAST BEING AXED FOR NO FUCKING REASON!

I share the anger. I miss the characters from the earlier games, even though most of them have been replaced with a Muppet Babies-style cast. Actually, replacing them with younger stand ins probably makes me dislike it more.

The thing I was having the most fun with was the character creation, but even that is a bit hollow since nothing is more amusing than sending your guy out to fight in his underpants.

I want to play online but, randoms make me nervous. If anyone plays on PS3

Also people need to cry harder, don't buy the game you pansies, stick to 3 and 4, button mashers are really easy to beat, spammers don't guard. Just ridiculous, only the skilled edgemaster players are the ones to fear online(and NATSUs OP).
