spikes video game awards

I was watching the video game awards on Spike tv, hosted by neil patrick harris, and by the end found myself thinking that red dead redemption shouldn't have won their game of the year award. I mean I've played the game and it was awesome, but i didn't think it was all that they were saying it was. What do you guys think, did any of you see it?

Well in most game sites defense they atleast do have a people choice award.

I didn't really care about the awards, but only for the premieres.
