~SPOILER ALERT~ Nier Ending: Can Someone Explain Please?!

Yeah, so... What in the fuck? I played Nier (American Version/Gestalt), beat the game once. I unlocked ending A.

Ending A as I saw it: Some confusing, artsy scene that made no sense to me. You get Yonah, then...then Kaine friggin goes-and the camera pans left and the father gives his daughter WHO SHOULD NOT BE THAT YOUNG NOW a flower and and then the older one's holding hands and-you know what? Fuck it!

-Can anybody please help me understand what's going on at the ending of this mostly straight forward fun RPG?
--Also, could you please tell me what happens in ending B? I'd like to know if there's an ending that let's Nier get the daughter, the girl, and the whole kit-and-kabootle. You know, like a genuinely happy ending...that just so happens to involve that tight ass of Kaine's.


P.S. I know about endings C and D which are both shit in my opinion. If anybody wants to know what they are I can tell you flat out, because they aren't confusing at all to me.

Still nothing? Well, hopefully this'll get you lot to tell me about the meaning behind ending A and what happens in ending B.

Ah damn! I just finished the game with the ending n°2 (that's how it's called in french oO), and oh god the scenario is just sweet.
I've now seen ending c and d through those video you've posted...
I see the reason why after all, i'd prefer RepliCant over Gestalt. Those 2 endings are obviously the endings that shows your love for Kainé. The sad thing is, all that romance scene is ruined by the fact that OUR MAIN CHARACTER IS A DAMN OLD GEEZER. Until now i've got nothing against it, but after watching these endings, i just have to reconsider.

As for the first 2 endings, if n°2=B and if what you said for ending A is true. I don't really see the difference. Gotta check that out for myself.
Also I heard they planned to release ending E as a DLC pretty soon.

EDIT: Apparently, my ending n°2 is your Ending A. So nevermind.

--If the only romance between the MC and Kaine ends in either of their deaths, then I'm going to punch this fucking game for making me care about her.

*Ending B (dunno what's it's called in French) is unlocked after reloading your post game save and playing through it a second time (not from the beginning, it drops you off where Kaine is unfrozen from being a statue). Ending C & D are unlocked after collecting all 30 weapons in the game and beating the game twice (A&B, then after the 30 weapons you get C&D). As you can tell, C&D piss me off, and ending A is interpretive, which also pisses me off (THIS ISN'T KILLER & FOR FUCK'S SAKE!!).

Whenever you find out what really happens in Ending B/The New Game+ playthrough, tell me. Thanks again thus far.

As for the concert: Yes. Mother Fucker trolled us harder than that assfucker from Pulp Fiction when he tweeted about upcoming news with a #neir hashtag. I now hate the game's ending (all of them) thanks to reading the true intent and what would've happened afterwards from the director and writer's mouths in the Grimoire Neir translation.

HOWEVER, that music will be forever incredible, trumping even Final Fantasy scores. Best music for a videogame indeed. Lucky Japanese, keeping the young Neir and getting a concert...

Though Father Neir's voice actor is, was, and always will be great. Just weird to see him and Kaine get all lovey dovey.

So far I,ve only got ending A so I can't explain anything about the other endings, but I think I understand ending A pretty well. This game is not a sequel but it takes place after the event of ending E of the game Drakengard. So it really helps if you have played Drakengard. The references to the man and the red dragon that comes up alot in the game are the cause of the destruction of mankind. In the ending E of Drakengard, the man and the red dragon chased down a god to the world of Nier through some portal. With their arrival, they brought in magic to a world which it didn't belong and created the curse of the black scrawl. Mankind didn't know how to fight this so they tried a bunch of things. That is why Emil and his sister were experimented with magic. Also, the journal entries sometimes found on the loading screen hints as to what mankind was up against.

it's been over two years but NieR's soundtrack just never fails to amaze me...
