Star Wars: Galaxies

I'm kinda surprised there wasn't a topic on this already.

I for one am one of the few that love the MMO. I know there's alot of hate for the game, but being the Star Wars fan that I am, I thought, for the most part, it was pretty good. Only Pre-NGE though. After the new game enhancements brought in the Jedi as a full blown class, I instantly dropped playing on any serious servers and stuck to the test servers.

Anyone else play and have any comments on it? And if you dislike/hate the game, what do you dislike about it?

Also, please keep anything related to SW:TOR out of this thread. We all already know it'll beat the shit outta SWG anyways.

Ok i Miss star wars galaxies and it was awsome. I was a master Bounty Hunter and Creacher Handler with 3 Rancores and 2 ATST with a legion of stormtroopers it was sweet.

I was thinking of playing this game, but i would like some un biased feed back on it. most of the reviews i've seen are either star wars fanboys saying it's awesome simpley because it's star wars, or the opposite, people who say it sucks because it's star wars. i want a gamer's perspective, not a star wars perspective.




i am indifferent to star wars, but i've seen enough of the shows, movies, and games to know my way around that "universe"(pun!).

No need to play the game, it's shutting down in like a month

Yeah, it shuts down in December, and they stopped taking new accounts two or three days ago. A sad day indeed for the few Galaxies fans left.

Procrastination screws me again.
