Starcraft - Hyungjoon becomes a Pro-gamer
0
This is a TV show where a Korean pop idol known as Hyungjoon from SS501 attempts to become a Starcraft pro-gamer. This series really helps you understand what the Korean pro-gamers do in order to become insanely awesome at Starcraft. I find each episode to be absolutely hilarious and I think its definitely worth a look if anyone is considering "getting in touch with your roots" before Starcraft 2 comes out. Props goes to TeamLiquid for the work. You can also find torrents and megaupload links for each episode in that link as well. There will be a total of 10 episodes and I'll try to post each episode as they are subbed.

Definitely good stuff, whether you like StarCraft (or K-Pop, even), or not. Show is really entertaining. Granted the more you know about StarCraft, the easier it is to know what's going on (and who everyone is), but it's still highly entertaining one way or the other. The first four episodes are golden, and I haven't finished watching episode five yet myself. :P

with the SC2 hype. This was awesome to look atStarcraft 2 is gonna be a pro's game. Of the few matches I've played, I've either won or lost in 10 minutes or less every time. Shit moves like lightning compared to the original.
This has been me subtly saying: "Hey guys, I got into the SC2 beta only to realize I have no one to brag about it too, so I posted on Fakku for the first time in 6 months."
See you all in September.

For some reason SC2 requires a fckload of spying cuz this time the game is a rock, paper, scissor battle.

Its always been that way. If you don't scout a zerg 9 pooling you your gonna get owned. Same can be said about 2 gate or a proxy. If you watch any pro game I guarantee you every time they will pull a drone out and go scout the enemy's base to see what build they are going and to try to counter it. It just may not seem as critical because they've played the fuck out of it and can pretty much tell what the guy is doing based on how much hes pushing against you.
Also, I want Shark's jacket.

Pretty much. And that's why spending five minutes reading the beta forum is so disheartening. I feel for all those who have thus far not received a beta key, but deserve one more than 90% of the people currently with a key.
Not that I claim to be anywhere near a good player myself. In fact, mechanically and strategically, I'm terrible. But I'm able to look at the game with a vague (keyboard and mouse icon) level of understanding, and know what's going on. Where a large majority of the posts on the forums are complaining about how this or that needs changed because they got owned by it, and have absolutely no idea how to counter it, so it must be overpowered. Not to say that it can't be the case in some circumstances, but generally not.
Anyhow, for all of you on the fence about watching this show, I highly recommend it. Prior StarCraft knowledge will certainly make viewing more enjoyable, but it's still filled with lots of laughs and fun.

Yeah, that made me laugh a couple times. I'm one of the lucky ones with my Blizzcon, but I still feel bad for those without.
On an unrelated note, team slumps during Winners League make me sad. :(

I figured thats how people were getting them. Either you went to Blizzcon or bought it off someone who did through eBay.
And yea I agree with those team slumps. At least Flash is putting on a good show.

I like Flash, and it's great to see him dominate like he has. I'm a CJ fanboy at heart, and this round has been absolutely devastating. Oh well, at least other players I like are doing well (Stork, FBH, Stars' Zergs, Shuttle, etc)

No but SC2 literally is a rock, paper, scissor match up with units. I know about scouting and blah blah but I'm talking about SC2's actual fights are mostly rock, paper, scissor shit.

I don't really mind that you posted the link but I don't want to piss off any of the TeamLiquid staff in case one of them happens to lurk Fakku.

I had totally missed that. I probably read it when I first started following the show, but never had any intention of sharing it anywhere else. Whenever I saw a new episode was up, I'd just scroll down to the bottom of the page. Edited my post to link to the page instead.
